Update: All articles are now in the main article namespace. Feel free to nominate your favorite articles and images at VFH and VFP!
The articles are written, the votes are tallied and the first ever Uncyclopedia Poo Lit Surprise Writing Competition is now over! We had over forty participants and nearly fifty (non-disqualified) articles in total, which marks the first PLS a resounding success. Thanks to the judges for plowing through a metric ton of blathering nonsense sparkling prose, and of course to the writers, because without them we could keep our money. The competition was fierce; in all three of the categories one extra vote could potentially have swayed the results. Without further ado, the following are the winners and honorable mentions of the Poo Lit Surprise...
Our three winners will receive the esteemed title of Poet Lowrate for the Order of Uncyclopedia, as well as an Amazon e-certificate for $1000. Our runners-up will get warm admiration. Thank you all for participating!
Judging guidelines: submissions will be judged on how well they improve the content being rewritten, so the value of a submission is based on the changes the writer makes, not the final product.
Judging guidelines: submissions will primarily be judged on the quality of the images and the value they add to the article. Though the style of writing is not the main focus, it must not be neglected. The use of an image as an adjunct (definition) to the article rather than an addition will improve an article's chances of winning.
With rewrites it is not enough to simply add images and a few uninspired lines to an already-existing article. The writer must have added most of the value.
