edit UnBooks:Short books

I'm a newbie and this list has been deleted twice in the last 24 hours. The first edit was by MrN9000 "+ICU. This article needs some help, stat!" But then someone deleted it, and once it disappears, the history disappears with it. So, I have no idea who's deleting it or why.

If anything is an unbook, then it's the books here. I think it's funny. Does anyone else? --UnMan 18:03, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

The reason it keeps getting deleted is that it's a big list, and articles that are nothing but lists are generally frowned upon here. --THE 22:02, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Agree with THE. A short review here follows, but basically, either go the whole hog and make it one of the worst 100 with formatting accordingly, and maybe even a bit of content with it, or rip it up and start again. With less lists. --Sir Under User (Hi, How Are You?) VFH KUN 12:57, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Humour: 3 Meh, some decent titles, a lot of filler. Some terribly predictable stuff too.
Concept: 2 A one line joke repeated extensively, effectively.
Prose and formatting: 3 It's a list. Oh, and use wiki formatting. A * at the beginning of your line gives bullets that don't sit right on the margin. Like this:
  • See?
Images: 0 There aren't any.
Miscellaneous: 3 Average of other scores. + 1, see below.
Final Score: 11 It's a list. Take the suggestions above on board, but this kind of thing doesn't go down well around here. Having said that, at least there's no Chuck Norris, which is better than many lists. In fact, I'll add a point to your misc score for that.

I normally put plentiful advice here, but honestly, right now the advice is either re-name it and reformat it as a top 100 with some content besides the titles (have a look at some on that link I posted at the top), or start again, picking just a handful of your favourite titles, and going into detail about them. Hell, you could even mention that your summaries are longer than the books at the end. Also, have a look at Books never written, which you might stray close to with this article. And have a look at HTBFANJS as well. It always helps!

This is only my opinion, others are available, and good luck! --Sir Under User (Hi, How Are You?) VFH KUN 12:57, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
