| The stuff actually "about" Battle Royale shows some promise, but the opening "wacky" quotes, the random non-sequiturs, "emos!", and "Chuck Norris kicks some ass hell yeah!!" references REALLY work against you. I'd recommend focusing more on the surreality/bizarreness of the movie itself, and not the other crazy stuff you can toss in.
