I liked it, nothing really seemed to be of improving here. It's main purpose seems to be corny jokes, and it succeeds in that.

The images were not the saving grace of this article, I'd find better ones, maybe aliens pulling an original world-destruction scheme besides just shooting lazers, like throwing the Earth into the sun, or flying around for a long time to contribute to Global Warming. Maybe you could throw the blame on them for causing Global Warming in your article.
