Note to Ambassadors:
- There is now an added Languages Discussion section above the submissions section. Here your
monkeysusers can work together to discuss specific language translations. Russian and English have been started, you can start other ones as you wish. - If you want to have more direct relations with another Uncyclopedia (apart from the English), feel free contact one of the listed ambassadors and you can try to make a contact, rather than having to go through England for these matters.
- Feel free to customise your language's sections/pages. Add cliched pictures or stereotypes if you like.

[edit] The Statements
- Due to some reasons, we'll have to do something with Czechs. Maybe carpet bombing or some nuclear-involving agenda.
- A Logo of the Office is also required. The resolution is to base it on the UN's one.
- We have to create the Embassies' Map, i.e. set up the links to the Foreign Embassies on the main page of FO.
- Also, RECRUITMENT! (© All Ambassadors) That means we have to establish contact with Uncy's main page and set up a link there too.
- It will be much better if such links are on the main page of every Uncy, not just English one.
(Stated by all, recorded by Praet. Long live the Empire!)
[edit] The Discussion
I think we may say that this first meeting was a great success. A lot of important countries were represented and good decisions were made. I look forward to the next one. Same time, same place? | | 20:27, November 21, 2009 (UTC)
- I assume that everybody is busy on workweek. So, we'll have to gather on next weekend. Same time, same place.
Don't forget the beer!— . 21:12, November 21, 2009 (UTC)- Yeah i think it went very well, we concluded a lot, and most importantly we have decided to entice the Czechs into the deal with very large promises of "FREE PIVO", if they don't comply, we will call them nasty names. --El Sid, the lazy one • parlez-vous franglais? 21:55, November 21, 2009 (UTC)
- It's our first Un General Assembly. That's wonderful. But is it too frequent to gather weekly?--SunnyChow 04:10, November 22, 2009 (UTC)
I just want to advise that who had spoken in the chat (Hans Magnus) was a fake.-- 00:27, November 22, 2009 (UTC)
- Um, are you serious? Seems like a strange way for someone to spend their evening without obvious gain... So I take it you're not from Bologna? --El Sid, the lazy one • parlez-vous franglais? 01:06, November 22, 2009 (UTC)
- Was it a legal fake or we have to hunt somebody down? — . 01:13, November 22, 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not from Bologna and i'm not a shitty graphic.
- @Praetorian: Legal fake?
- At the moment I'm advising all my "mates" of Nonciclopedia.--

- Wow! Should we have some secret signs? Seriously, what can we do about the impostor?--SunnyChow 09:34, November 22, 2009 (UTC)
I mean if it was a fake approved by you or not. Now I see that it wasn't. — . 10:37, November 22, 2009 (UTC)
- Wow, we have a spy in our ranks, I blame the Czechs! :D But seriously, who was it? --El Sid, the lazy one • parlez-vous franglais? 11:25, November 22, 2009 (UTC)
- It clearly wasn't malicious (apart from the one comment about MFH hating him), I assume the guy was just bored and had nothing to do. He actually made some decent contributions iirc, it'd just be good to know who it really was. Also we definitely need more girls, beer and food for next time (in descending order of priority). This is the job of Vassilliana, Czech Republic, and US-English respectively. --El Sid, the lazy one • parlez-vous franglais? 11:55, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

- (cough) (cough) I really can't attend this time. I will be in camp. And if you find a guy named SunnyChow in next meeting ... well... you know what to do.--SunnyChow 11:45, November 24, 2009 (UTC)
- Oh yes. We will hunt them down! By the way, I've fallen ill. But I'm going to attend, so any spies will be banned. — . 10:48, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
- Certainly we will, but it seems the most popular opinion so far is to consider all Foreign Office policies as lame and invade Sudetenland... --El Sid, the lazy one • parlez-vous franglais? 17:15, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
- We'll send there those who voted for it. For the meantime we'll hold the meeting. Two men are going to crush Společné síly. — . 11:10, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Logos
- As I was busy this week, I drew only two versions of the logo of FO, which is not very satisfying.--SunnyChow 15:45, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding Translations to English
Hey all, since a few English Uncyclopedians have expressed doubts over the quality of some work translated from your barbaric foreign tongues to God's own English, I have decided that all translations by people whose English is less than fluent (or close to) should be placed in "The Waiting Room" until it is up to adequate standards. So please always translate articles to English with this prefix:
[[ Uncyclopedia:Foreign Office/TWR/<PAGE NAME> ]]
Please also write the article and its link on the TWR page (which I will set up ASAP). There will be a choice of two templates to add to the top of the page (which I hope you reference which you chose in the list). These will be:
- Anglification - for pages that contain cultural references that need to be loosely translated into something more understandable to the English readers.
- Combover - for pages that are universally understandable, but need to be checked for grammar, spelling etc....
You can, of course, use both templates if you imagine there will be a problem with both.
Don't worry about it too much at the moment, I'll get it all set up by the next meeting.

- What about Roemenie and other already publicated articles? | | 14:03, November 22, 2009 (UTC)
- Don't worry about ones already translated, unless you personally think they need to be checked. This is just for the future. --El Sid, the lazy one • parlez-vous franglais? 14:05, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

- Uh, the joke's on us, I believe. Let's try to get some posts in, next time. Maybe we should meet twice a week. -_-" | | 14:43, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
- It's not of the utmost importance I guess, but perhaps I should send out messages again as people seem to have forgotten. I think twice weekly is pushing it, I just didn't realise how many people (including myself) would forget about it. Also the regulars need to be assigned roles with groovy names and stuff so that we can all share the responsibility of spreading the Good Word of the Foreign Office to the other uncyclopedias --El Sid, the lazy one • parlez-vous franglais? 15:30, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Meditation Regarding the Nature, Substance and Consequences of the Fabled "Third Meeting"
Good evening/night/morning/afternoon all, I have been instructed by the Tsar of Absurdopedia to pass on the following information regarding yesterday's meeting (which i was sadly unable to make):
- Meetings are no longer obligatory. I shall call for a meeting in times of urgent necessity or religious fervour (such as that might happen following further hostilities from our Czech brethren), but as a general rule, feel free to pop by the chatroom whenever you wish for a chat. Someone will (probably) be there. 7pm on a Saturday remains the fashionable time (jazz nights) to meet up, but no pressure, it's just for minor chat and democratically mulling over such things as UFO logos, inter-uncyc projects. Anyone is welcome. When we call for a proper obligatory meeting, I will message you all personally (this is like to be once a month).
- The Dutch contingent has decided to create a newspaper in which news of the meetings and the general progress of the Foreign Office can be reflected. I, for one, believe this to be an excellent way of recorded the progress of the Foreign Office in stages (we can, for example, have a column devoted to the articles that have been translated that week/fortnight, and the best translators... or a spotlight on some lesser known article writers from the various Uncyclopedias).
Any response and clarification on the matters is very very welcome indeed, especially from Lars, Roye, or Praetorian, who were present at the meeting. --El Sid, the lazy one • parlez-vous franglais? 19:40, December 6, 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, well, the newspaper idea was sort made assuming that the meetings would remain, but oh well. I could still do some propaganda for the Oncyclopedia. >:-) | 06:37, December 7, 2009 (UTC)
- The Tsar of Absurdopedia ))) I'm just a mere administrator, not even a bureaucrat, but thank you. — . 08:28, December 7, 2009 (UTC)
- This calls for a revolution then Praeto, down with the Tsar! Quick, someone make some dynamic banners to support our cause! Also, the meetings will remain, but I will only make a big deal about them if we decide to make a big deal about them beforehand, because I imagine most of the time not a lot interesting will go on, and people might stop being interested in the project entirely. Also I think the newspaper idea would actually strengthen the cause and sustain more interest from our various ambassadors. It seems we no longer have Woman in our ranks. How we get Woman back? --El Sid, the lazy one • parlez-vous franglais? 16:42, December 7, 2009 (UTC)
- She refused to
work on uscollaborate with us? Ah well. — . 12:44, December 8, 2009 (UTC)- Worse, I think she might have been a Czech double agent... o_o
- Do we have enough things to talk about to call for a meeting this weekend which will involve the traditional invites? --El Sid, the lazy one • parlez-vous franglais? 15:27, December 8, 2009 (UTC)
- So... I hope everyone here is enjoying whatever you have to enjoy... Our embassy is already working, everyone on our uncy have a list of the english, german, french, italian, russian and spanish uncys to translate to our uncy and vice-versa. We're planning to do a few more advertising (not too much, as we're already overloaded of projects). Also, I'll be using that FOlogotje.png for now, np? I hope so =) Fire_Wolf_br Cookies? 12:06, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

Also, I've logged onto the Kengencyclopedia, the Lëtzebuerg Uncyc. Maybe, some inFO will also revive the place. See y'all at the meeting! | | 15:07, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] IMPORTANT
This is Fire_Wolf_br, I wish that all Ambassadors go here, just to keep updated on the exit of the Bureaucrat Kohl, due to problems. Also, I ask you to calm down, as there are people who considers it as a coup-d'etat, and others as "something which needed to be done". This is a long text, so please read everything, if possible. Thanks 189.11.50.139 16:09, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Roemenie
To all Ambassadors,
As you may or may not know, the Dutch article Roemenië was translated to Roemenie (alias “The Report from Antwerp(en)”) in September. I have had the article reviewed and I have asked El Sid to check on the spelling and wording.
Finally, maybe late February or March, I am going to nominate it for VFH. Of course, I will not nominate an unfinished product, nor will I rush the preparations, so if I get delayed, it will take longer for the article to be featured.
Of course, I can in no way force you to vote for the article once it is up for VFH. But apart from the personal appreciation, I personally think it would be a great way to show the Uncyclopedia and other Uncycs that the Foreign Office Project is going strong.
This way, we can encourage writers to join the FO Project, we may be able to convince the Désencyclopédiens that foreign articles are not dangerous, and so the possible (quasi-)feature will greatly help the Foreign Office Project.
Therefore, my foreign colleagues, I would like to ask you to help me getting Roemenie, “The Report from Antwerp”, featured. I would really appreciate any suggestion on the talk page. Of course, a vote would also help, although I do not want any vote from people who did not have a look at the article; your vote can be friendly, but not mindless.
Apart from that, I would also like to encourage you to keep the Foreign Office alive. Please keep translating and keep an eye on the other Uncycs. I visit here every day and man alive, am I waiting for someone to want a Dutch article translated.
I also want to thank some people. First of all, I want to thank MFH and Ptok from Italy and Poland, for giving me the info needed to make my translations; Own Goal is still under construction. Secondly, I want to thank Faith, Roy, and Henning. Faith is right now doing her (right?) best on “La blague dangereuse”, Roy is just an awesome writer; mass production at its best! And of course Henning, who, despite this stubborn Dutch guy showing his face wrong place wrong time, appearantly trusts me as a future, might want to stress that, representative for the Oncyclopedia. Finally, I want to thank El Sid for contacting me about this FO Project starting up, which is now hopefully just taking a break before growing into a vast inter-Uncyclopedian project.
Now go and translate something, you foreign buggers! Don't make me do another one of these FD Roosevelt speeches! (New Deal for the win!) Put a sock in it, Frank!
Awaiting the Kingdom FOes,
Lars “Danzegger”,
Chief Translator of the Oncyclopedia
