If there need be any criticism of this article, direct all the slag my way, for 'twas at first a vague zygote of an idea in my mind. If there be any praise, direct all of your adoration to Modusoperandi, for 'twas he who did most of the writing and fleshed the notion out.--Shandon 19:42, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

I agree with the first part; it's all his fault. As for the second, he is also to blame.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 19:59, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
So which one of you is Gilbert and who is Sullivan? And where did Keyser Söze go? Excellent work, gentlemen... 'twas a fun read. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 04:18, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Gilbert & Sullivan? They're fictional characters, obviously, and any resemblance to persons living or dead is purely coincidental. Come to think of it, neither Shandon nor I are real, either. Or, to put it another way, he's Gilbert and I'm Sullivan, and vice versa. Keyser Söze, however, is real. So be good for goodness sake. --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 04:28, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

edit In case you ever do The Potatoes of Penzance

I am the very model of a Moderator-General,
I've information huffable, deletable and skinnable!
I know the nerds of n00bland, and I often get hysterical,
From one-day blocks to perma-bans, Anon-IP's addressable!
I'm very well-acquainted too with matters pathological,
I understand that banning you is simply all too logical!
About ignorable policy I'm teeming with a lot o' news,
With many cheerful facts about the pwning of the helpless n00bz!

Nice job, guys!  c • > • cunwapquc? 04:56, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

I can't speak for Shandon, but pages that I work on tend to swing wildly from comedy/parody (like this or the Poo Lit entries) to political satire (a la AFM or Freedom of speech). As most of my recent stuff has been comedy, I'm currently working on another attempt at poking the bull of religious intolerance/iron age thinking in a space age world, so it could be awhile before comedy returns (satire is time consuming and unpleasant to write. With satire it's not the journey, but the destination, apparently).
But I digress. I do that sometimes. Shandon however, stays focussed, laser-like, on the moving target of hilarity. It's kind of scary to witness in person. Shandon's much bigger in person too. With an eyebrow that goes all the way across and big meaty sausage fingers that make it tough to type. But, again, I digress.
I'm not saying that Penzance won't happen; I'm just saying don't hold your breath. Or you could do it, it's not like we own the rights to G&S (hurrah public domain!); you've got part of one song already...and this is "the content-free encyclopedia that anyone can edit". Or you could team up with my compadre. I hear Shandon's free...must be since I came home one day and found all of my stuff out on the lawn (OMG, he chipped my hummels! My beautiful, glorious hummels!).
You typed "In case you ever do The Potatoes of Penzance" and a stanza and got four friggin' paragraphs in return. I may not know much about funny, but I know a lot about value.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 17:29, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Ref: para 1. It should be noted that I used to be a big page whore. I'm all mature 'n' shit now. /me dons smoking jacket, lights pipe...jacket bursts into flame. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:45, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

edit {{username}}

Since the {{username}} thing seems to be generating some buzz I should credit Splaka for making it and Ghelæ for cluing me into it. I found out about it here. If you decide to use it, don't abuse it (let's try to avoid it becoming the next Russian Reversal, shall we?).--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 21:43, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

I was so confused. Trying to remember the last time I used even one OW quote... —rc (t) 21:47, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

MS, I hate you. I have no idea what you are talking about--Shandon 05:23, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Really? Hmmmm... Mkay... Here I go again, then... IN-JOKES SUCKS!!! MONEYSIGN HATE IN-JOKES LONG TIME!!! DEATH TO IN-JOKES AND ALL WHO SUPPORT THEM!!! ^_^ ~ ⇔ Sir Mon€¥$ignSTFU F@H|NS|+S 06:02, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
I don't see it as all that in-jokey. When it comes down to it, it's Pinafore with color commentary from G&S. The poster-pic and the Potato are incidental to the story.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 06:16, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

  • For. The whole thing is brilliant, but Gilbert accusing <insert name here> is the best meta I've ever seen on Uncyclopedia. --User:Falcotron/sig 19:24, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Comment. HA! Didn't notice that before. I'm flattered.--Procopius 20:02, 1 September 2006 (UTC) And fooled, too. Still, excellent.--Procopius 20:05, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Comment. Hahaha, good laugh. I didn't notice that either, nicely done. Oblivion - Fire - Sex [O|F|S] Icons-flag-us MUN CM NS F@H (drivel) 21:04, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Comment. I'm vaguely creeped out by my name being in there. Especially since I didn't notice it. User:SolarEquinox/sig Haha, and I'm stupid. User:SolarEquinox/sig
