UnNews talk:Kids still fucking

I rarely swear. I try to avoid demeaning the English language by resorting to such foolishness. Luckily, few things make me angry enough to drop the f-bomb, so it doesn't appear on my pages all that often. This story made me mad enough to put it in the title. I'm that pissed. Hopefully it's a funny, satirical look at all-too human foibles, rather than a rant. If not, fuck it. Seriously, I'm done playing nice with stupid people. Not that I was nice before... --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 03:19, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

It's good stuff. I started an article about this topic taken in a slightly different direction than this one. These abstinence programs are so mind-numblingly stupid, I'm find myself unsatisfied with any ending. Here's how I was going at it- User:Kenvalyi/temp. Not sure if I'll continue it now that you've covered it so well and thoroughly. Again, good stuff. --Kenvalyi 13:21, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Some things simply must be satirized.
I take it that your version started out with a teacher and student sex thing? Interesting twist. --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 16:55, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

edit An aside

Planned Parenthood is teaching kids to fornicate, teaching people to have adultery, every kind of bestiality, homosexuality, lesbianism -- everything that the Bible condemns.”
~ Pat Roberston on sex education

Apparently if people don't know about sex (or, in the case of the real version of this UnNews story, know only not to have sex...which is the final, idealistic outcome of abstinence-only programs), they won't have it. True story, sadly. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 23:18, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

edit Pee Review

This is one of those uncomfortable pages that I keep coming back to (the 25ish edits in its history since April are nothing compared to those from its time in my sandbox). As such, my question is the same one that I generally ask when I bring a page here; is it funny satire? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 04:48, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Humour: 8 an above-average number of chuckles
Concept: 9 this is what UnNews is all about: taking a real news story and spinning it until its ridiculousness becomes apparent
Prose and formatting: 10 no problems here. there's a lot of italicized quotes, but an UnNews story "should" have lots of italicized quotes.
Images: 7 i found the first image to be quite funny, mostly due to the caption. the other two were solid, but nothing spectacular. i personally thought the leading picture of the fourth link to be hilarious..."NO SCREWIN' AROUND" with a perfectly ethnically diverse group of blissful virgins. perhaps you could incorporate that.
Miscellaneous: 10 "Just say 'No to cock". hehehe.
Final Score: 44 a spendidly done UnNews. this is definitely funny satire in its prime. i'd support on VFH without as much second thought as...something funny relating to sex-ed...

Thanks for the review. I did consider trying to integrate that pic you mentioned into the page, but its texty nature would look like a smear at such a small size (even full size it's a blurry mess). Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 00:17, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

good point. i'm satisfied with the link. --SirGerrycheeversGunTalk 02:29, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
