This is hilarious. Terrific satire. A++. Will buy from again.--05:35, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you liked it; I came up with the idea at work while talking to my co-workers about the whole situation with OJ almost getting a book and a show and them cancelling it, among the subject of this article, I also asked if I should murder a few people so I'd get a book and a FOX show also, and also that I wanted Brad Pitt to play me in the movie of the week. I also said that OJ should get a reality show where he had to murder a different person every week for supermarket manufacturer's coupons, but when I saw there was another OJ simpson article already created I just added that idea as a paragraph to it instead of making yet another OJ article.
- I think the Michael Jackson situation really turned out to be a useful way to satirize how inappropriate the OJ Simpson planned project was, and why it was so incredible that it got as far as it did before being pulled. Here was another celebrity who was accused of a serious crime, and found not guilty, but the nature of the alleged crime was different, it was sexual and it was against children. FOX would never consider giving him a spotlight, it would be shocking. So why was OJ's alleged crime, a brutal double murder, suitable ratings fodder? It seems there's a deep running vein of hypocricy in which some crimes are less "acceptable" than others and people are all too willing to shrug off crimes of violence no matter how destructive they are. I guess that's why it's funny, because it points out how crazy the US is culturally that this guy almost became a media hero for possibly brutally killing two people.
- Thanks again for the kind words and I'll see if I can keep having good ideas. A lot of my really good ones just hit me at random, my story about John Mark Karr confessing to killing Steve Irwin was an example of this, I think. I definitely know the one about Osama Bin Laden demanding the release of a Mokey plush was. I thought of that one while I was heating some water in the kitchen and it sort of just happened. --Hrodulf 13:46, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
