LAKE CHAD, Chad-- The U.N. reported today that Lake Chad, once the size of Maryland, is now the size of a small family sedan. The report states that the lake in 1972 was accessed by millions of Africans from three countries but now only serves 3 children with straws and a donkey.
The Government of Chad is in the process of inquiring local chiefs on where the water might have gone. Most people say they were just "really thirsty." The lake, which once served as a landmark for astronauts now is a landmark to get to Motubo's mud hut.
