Today, the encyclopedia britannica held a press conference, in which their most respected members threw down the gauntlet to the wikipedia admin crew. The rules were simple; no books, no references, just a mash up.
Britannica, who have been known for their violent fraccas with other companies, were the original champions of the evolution-creation debate, after their founder, Ernest Rutherford won hands down with a pile-driver finish against Gregor Mendel, only to be defeated later on by the machine known as the "Darwinator" who naturally selected his ass.
Wikipedia founder, Jimbo Wales (also known as "The arbitrator") responded to the Britannica challenge by saying "Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough" whilst in a sparring session with the demigod, Chuck Norris. Wales, undefeated, was recognised as a winner when he won a grudge match against Seigenthaler Junior by using his reverse reacharound technique.
[edit] Violence
In the weeks follwing the challenge, several news items were covered involving wikipedia editors and administrators involved in large scale warfare against the brittanica foundation, who used kitten huffing technologies to create loudspeakers "dissing" the wikipedia crew.
Several of Wales' arbitrators were sent in to neutralise the situation, but forgot to stop after the sight of the britannica logos threw them into an unspeakable rage, the likes of which, even Barry Manilow could not stop.
The match is scheduled next week, where bookies have odds-on favourite, Wales, to win the rumble after his recent training for the movie, The Xenu Monologues. Taking place in the rumble to aid Wales, are the elite hit squad of man-machines such as;
- The Tux
- Bing Crosby
- Some really angry guy from a really angry kind of anger fest.
- Niels Bohr; renowned for his energy levels.
- Jesus - regular wikipedia editor on Atheism articles.
