Winners of the Award are elevated to Knight or Dame Commander of the Order of Uncyclopedia (and are thus referred to as Sir or Dame) and are allowed to wear the Uncyclopedia Cub Scout Proficiency Badge on the left arm of their Cub Scout jumper along with their other proficiency badges.

edit Procedure

• Voting is on a monthly basis.
• In the past, a maximum of three UotM awards have been given out in a single month. Currently, only one user each month may win the award.
• Please vote for the candidate you feel is most deserving of the award. Votes from sockpuppets, anonymous IPs, and unknown/inactive users are weighted appropriately.
• When a user is nominated, the nomination template {{VoteUOTM}} can be added to their userpage.

• I thought of nomming him for this yesterday, but that would have looked like a comment on the VFS horse race (when the full horse race article comes out it's probably going to be amazing) which it is not. Now that people are nomming others to be the first two-time winner of this award, gotta go with Puppy. On his merits.

In the past couple of months Puppy has done over 20 pee reviews, worked up codes for the wiki which has improved it (I think, I'm not a code guy), helped all the people who came to him, organized and began writing and getting featured the 10 most important topics on an encyclopedic wiki! He then backflipped over to the starting line and played with and tried to advance the discussion of some of the most important topics in forums, user talk spaces, and his own talk space while at the same time going over the 30 feature mark...and there's lots more, that was just the start of what he's done in the past two months. So this is a nom on merits and not on drama (which is a high and honored art form when done well). Aleister 14:20 May Day '12

Not really a great Uncyclopedian in light of recent events, he's also serving a ban. These helps you "describe" only bred the hubris that has swamped this community with drama, sockpuppetry and asshattery over the past few weeks. People seem to be voting based on the drama. This isn't about the drama, that's the drama, this is for merit. If Puppy wants this closed I'll do it, this wasn't the place to relive the drama again, it's to recognize him for his contributions to the uncy over the past month or two. Which are pretty awesome. Ali, I dislike the word drama. It can be used to discredit peoples complaints (god...stop with the drama already) when they actually have valid arguments, or to discard disruptive behaviour (you're only focusing on drama) when the persons has actually blown tension all out of proportion. • Nom. Despite his strange work ethic (meaning his obsession with vandals of years gone by) he actually does pretty useful stuff to, namely on QVFD, VFD and BP. He also uses rollback fairly well and helps with general wiki maintenance.
