I dare to predict,
how am I supposed to predict if there's no number given? Are you trying to trick me?
Hiero C11

edit Explanation

This template is originally from the article User:정안영민 in Korean Wikipedia.

Since this template assumes that the article growth rate is a linear function (see this (if you speak Korean)), you cannot guarantee that the prediction is 100% right (see this (if you speak Korean)). But this template can help you see the approximate time that the article will be created.

Notice: The greater the number gets, the less precise the prediction is.

edit Formula

current time + (article number you want to predict - current number of articles) ÷ ((current number of articles - random article) ÷ (current time - the time that the random article was created)) (see this (if you speak Korean))
  • A random article number: 23974 (Zune)
    • Notice: The random article must be less than the current number of articles. If they are equal, division by zero will occur. See the formula carefully.
  • The time that the random article was created (UTC): 20090313 00:39

Please change those variables manually. For now User:에멜무지로 will take care of them.

edit Usage and notice

{{Article number prediction|the article number you want to predict|time difference from UTC (hour) (optional)|time difference from UTC (minute) (optional)|time zone name (optional)}}
  • If you don't put the article number, you will see the message above.
  • If you don't put the time difference and the time zone name, the default time difference would be UTC+0 and the time zone name would be UTC.
    • If you put the time difference but not the time zone name, then UTC±xx(:xx) will appear instead.
  • If you put a huge number and the prediction time exceeds 23:59:59, December 31, 9999, this template will show you an error message instead.
  • If you put a decimal, it will be rounded to a nearest integer.

edit Examples

If you want to predict the 65,536th article, type this:

{{Article number prediction|65536}}

Then it will appear like below:

I dare to predict,
the 65536th article will be created at 06:31, Saturday, November 28, 2043! (UTC)
Hiero C11

If you want to use a time zone besides UTC, type like this:

{{Article number prediction|65536|-8}}
{{Article number prediction|65536|-8|00}}
{{Article number prediction|65536|-8||PST}}

They will appear like these below, respectively:

I dare to predict,
the 65536th article will be created at 22:31, Friday, November 27, 2043! (UTC-8)
Hiero C11
I dare to predict,
the 65536th article will be created at 22:31, Friday, November 27, 2043! (UTC-8:00)
Hiero C11
I dare to predict,
the 65536th article will be created at 22:31, Friday, November 27, 2043! (PST)
Hiero C11

If the nth article you are looking for is already created, you will see:

I dare to predict,
the 100th article is already created, stupid!
Hiero C11

If you put 0 or a negative number, you will see:

I dare to predict,
what is the -1st article? Are you trying to trick me?
