Talk:Mac OS X

For the record, Mac OS Y made me spit outloud. --Chronarion 02:21, 9 Mar 2005 (EST)
Oh, and the bit about Quicktime not being able to play DivX, ogg or Windows Media is sort-of wrong. There are third-party plugins. I have them.
This article is mildly amusing, but most of it is just half truths or complete truths with a negative tone. It's not ridiculous and funny, it's just a laid back mac bashing. I'm not against making fun of MacOS X et al, but this article fails to do that. It's just bitter and unfunny.
The article is poorly formatted, a clear sign that the contributors were more interested in putting in their own little sneers of rhetoric© (copyright me) into the article than actually making it amusing. I realize that, as a Mac user, my opinions are on the level with common toilet bacteria in most people's opinion, but really, we can do better than this. Rather than an exess of coy snarkiness, why not an actual parody of Mac OS X? The conclusion of most of the paragraphs in this article is something along the lines of "Mac OS X does <something>, which makes <it/Mac users/everybody> a total <perjorative>." Totally mediocre. Macintosh deserves better mockery. --Cainad | Speak with The Eye 01:40, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Yes it is I who rewrote it as in response to the above comment. Different subject used this time, not a bitchy article like the last one. In my little world, mac os x is just good eye candy, that is all.
Have fun tearing this article apart! Toxicvarn90 01:18, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
edit From Pee Review
This is like my first article. First off I need better pics, like a photoshoped one where there is a painted MAC OS X on a painter's canvas. Also, my history section was very, stream of consciousness. I originally wanted to say they discovered the painting, uploaded to a computer, and it just moved with the mouse.
- I must say, having an article rewritten in response to a comment I left on its talk page 5 months ago and had forgotten is probably the swiftest and most gratifying response I've ever gotten. I shall bless you with my meandering thoughts.
Apple OS X was the name now. Likely we can name it OS CI.--188.8.131.52 09:09, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
