/me looks up A Day Without a Mexican. No, thankfully. Don't scare me like that. SirModusoperandiBoinc! 04:12, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Hmm... I doubt these things happen by accident, but I'm giving you a credit of coincidence. This little world is weird isn't it? -- herrdoktorneedsAcell[scream!] 04:14, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
This one started from me stumbling on a reference to the all-too-real Operation Wetback, researching it, and spending ages trying to figure out how to spin an era-specific light social satire out of that kind of paranoia. What really scares me is that nothing has changed. Sure, there's less grease in men's hair now. That's something, I guess. SirModusoperandiBoinc! 04:17, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
I miss the leisure suits, obligatory neckties and fedoras. I really miss them. -- herrdoktorneedsAcell[scream!] 04:20, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
And some confounds me with an emo because I do use neckties. Yeah, right, me and Donald Trump who have a hair crazier than mine. Decadance! -- herrdoktorneedsAcell[scream!] 04:23, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Hurrah! I've been sitting here staring at the wall waiting for the server to show the 'chopped pic I swapped for the final pic. SirModusoperandiBoinc! 04:33, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Mariachi hat flying saucers. That's from the movie I've mentioned. I missed it on the theaters so I'm not sure if it worths the time or if it's a militant piece-of-shit. But the trailer made me curious. -- herrdoktorneedsAcell[scream!] 04:36, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
I just downloaded the trailer. It looks like it's either really good or really awful. Rottentomatoes says "awful". SirModusoperandiBoinc! 04:45, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I trust rottentomatoes far more than newspaper pinko critics. -- herrdoktorneedsAcell[scream!] 04:46, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go through the text and attempt to tweak it. Neurotically, as it were. That's my thing. SirModusoperandiBoinc! 04:48, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Yes. It's the hand you got your watch on. ~ 21:47, 24 May 2007 (UTC) Oh! I didn't know there's a movie! There's a brilliant book called that. Has nothing to do with that apparent monstrosity. ~ 21:50, 24 May 2007 (UTC) There ya go.~ 21:52, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
No. The only books that I read involve Bill. He's a Galactic Hero, don't you know. SirModusoperandiBoinc! 21:57, 24 May 2007 (UTC) I'm such a nerd
Just a minor complaint: you can stitch better the part between the full Mexicanizing of the family and the cardbox poverty. How about some Weberian capitalism: they lost their Protestant ethics and started seeing no shame in turning into welfare professionals. Something like this. -- herrdoktorneedsAcell[scream!] 20:14, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
The idea was that each member of the family falls individually, then they fall together. As such the gap between Sunday and near future isn't critical, IMO, as they are already lost. The trick, I think, is figuring out when more is better and when it's just more. SirModusoperandiBoinc! 02:39, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
Abstain, I love this article with a passion, yet I also hate it with a passion for other reasons. Count this as a +/- 0 vote. --TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK 19:56, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Against. That's just the way it is, things will never be the same --TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK 03:03, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Comment So, that's a "no" on the hug, then? SirModusoperandiBoinc! 03:17, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Counter-comment Your offering was too small. I would have been more pleased with something that involved tongue and/or a leg, perhaps. --TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK 03:20, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Also comment. It wasn't an "offering". You just seemed sad and angry, that's all. You appeared to need a hug. In any event, it's here if you need it. SirModusoperandiBoinc! 03:28, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
