I like this ! One minor change I would make is to replace 'Kaffirs'. It is ok to use in the context of a speech or document , or a pseudo-historical setting that is time dated to that era but otherwise I think it doesn't sit well with the rest of it and could be replaced. Let me know what you think otherwise I would like to nominate it for VFH. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate). 14:13, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

I agree with you Romartus, I'd defo vote Symbol for vote For.. I told Sog1970 to have it peed but he is still learning the glorious ways of wiki formatting. Perhaps you could leave some words of assistance on his talk page, he seems like a promising contributor. --Dame Sonjesig.pngCherry-blossom.gif 14:21, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
Ok done that. left a message on Sog's page . --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate). 14:59, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
-- 17:08, 4 June 2009 (UTC) I know what you mean about the word kaffir. I used to get irritated when people described my kids that way. I suppose i was trying to convey that native people have been viewed as animals in the area in the past - if I was thinking that deeply at all. Seems unlikely.
--Sog1970 17:10, 4 June 2009 (UTC) See, I said I was hopeless at this wiki thing, I forgot to sign in

I have added links and a minor change on the concentration camp joke. I don't understand the following :-

Bill Tong ? Castle - (lager ?) lekker.

I also suggest you provide a translation of words like braii in the notes section of the article. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate). 18:51, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Biltong is a South African version of beef jerky, much better in fact. Castle lager is the most popular beer in SA. 'lekker' is an Afrikaans word meaning 'nice' but it is used by English speaking South Africans as well as a slang term. I don't think it should be changed cause its a cultural thing and as a South African those things made me lol the most. --Dame Sonjesig.pngCherry-blossom.gif 18:56, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
Thank you Sonje. Perhaps there should be links instead for these words instead of explanations. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate). 18:59, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
What about footnotes? I would add them but (as is evident by my magnificent article writing history) I don't know how :( --Dame Sonjesig.pngCherry-blossom.gif 19:01, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
Ps: 'braai' means 'bbq' --Dame Sonjesig.pngCherry-blossom.gif 19:03, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
