If you love Looney Tunes, If you love Michael Jordan, hell...if you even love "Roger Rabbit"...you'll hate this movie! This would be the most over-hyped movie of the 90's, thanks to all the advertisements in this film called "Space Jam".

[edit] How it started

In 1990, Nike made a shoe called Air Jordan and these shoes promised that Michael Jordan would be in the NBA Finals. And they were right, in 1991 Da Bulls won not one, not two, but three Championships! But Nike wanted children to beg their parents to get these shoes, so they got Bugs Bunny to promote the shoes alongside Michael Jordan. Then...Corporate America took over and made both Jordan and Bugs go into...Baseball.

In 1994, Corporate America tried to get Michael Jordan to go back into basketball, or at least Football. Bugs Bunny asked Michael Jordan to just do the film since all the things that Michael Jordan advertised will be in this film. So he went back to play basketball since he was the worst player on the Springfield Isotopes...ever!

[edit] The Movie

For those without comedic tastes, the so-called experts at Wikipedia think they have an article about Space Jam.

This movie is an 80-minute commercial with Michael Jordan, Wayne Knight, Larry Bird, Dan Aykroyd (who also Directed, Written, and Produced this movie as well), and The Looney Tunes Characters.

The movie also revolves around the life of Michael Jordan from his humble beginnings, to his years on Da Bulls, and even his years in North Carolina State University. The year was 1994 and Michael Jordan would retire to play baseball for the Chicago White Sox where the curse remained and he set a record for getting hit by the crotch with a baseball, so he went to the Springfield Isotopes.

And in this movie too, there's something about...aliens. Some aliens from Uranus get upset when their Six Flags parks weren't making money so they ask "How can we make the park a success"? Their answer was to have cartoon characters. They could try some cartoon characters from other studios, but the aliens used Looney Tunes because they were on TV. So the aliens capture Bugs Bunny to be their mascot for Six Flags Uranus, but since Bugs Bunny heard that Uranus was a smelly planet, he plays basketball with the aliens. We find out that the aliens would get a Basketball Jones from Basketball Jones and a few NBA Players. Then the Aliens play basketball against The Looney Tunes.

Lola Bunny makes her debut in this film!

After going through the Jordan Family's life, Bugs Bunny captures Michael Jordan to have him play basketball with them. Then the showdown occurs between the Looney Tunes and the Aliens. Space Jam also has the introduction of Lola Bunny from the unreleased Looney Tunes cartoons "Lola". Michael Jordan would lead the Looney Tunes to victory by throwing Space Jam in Dan Aykroyd's face.

Then Michel Jordan comes back home, the basketball players get their talent back, and The Looney Tunes become unfunnier (see "Looney Tunes:Back in Action").

[edit] Reaction

Michael Jordan didn't even know that he was in a movie, cameras were used and later The Looney Tunes were painted over him.

The Looney Tunes from the 50's watched this movie...and didn't laugh at the Looney Tunes of the 90's.

Won awards such as an Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Film. Critics' appraise were so high, that the film Space Jam even recieved a nomination for a Grammy, Emmy, and a Tony Award.

The Tiny Toons were supposed to have a role, but Steven Spielberg wouldn't even have ET be in this movie nor The Animaniacs.

The 700 Club actually was more fun than this movie.

The NBA didn't recover after this movie because until LeBron James, the NBA would watch Space Jam before the game.

Lebron James is planning to remake this movie.
