Mr. Punch and his wife, Judy Finnigan
“Thats the way to do it!”
~ Noel Coward on Judy Finnigan

Mr. Punch and Judy Finnigan are married co-stars of British daytime light entertainment television programmes.

[edit] Commedia dell'arte

Judy Finnigan was born in Colchester on 16 May 1918. Mr. Punch was born in London on 9 May 1662. The couple married in 1986. Their most well-known show has undoubtedly been This Morning. The series, a mix of celebrity interviews, household tips, cookery and spousal abuse lasted approximately two hours each weekday morning on ITV.

In 2001, they quit This Morning, having been poached by Channel 4 to host a similar show, simply called Punch & Judy, shown for an hour in the early evenings. It has a slightly greater emphasis on infanticide. As of 2005 this show is still being screened.

The couple have no surviving children.

[edit] Controversy

In October of 2005 rumours began to circulate that seemed to implicate Mr. Punch in a series of killings, spanning the early 1600s to the present day. Scotland Yard has confirmed that they are investigating the deaths of a number of women, infants, dogs, crocodiles, and metaphysical entities such as Death and Satan. The case is currently under investigation.
