“New Kilroy, New Danger”
Nicholas Andrew Argyll and Bute Council Campbell, 38, Radio and TV presenter from the Highlands. Nicky is the fourth grandson of Braveheart. The original William Wallace, not the Mel Gibson one, which isn’t anything to do with Highlander, that was Christopher lambert, who’s actually French, Sean Connery IS actually Scottish, although in Highlander he was Spanish. Or was it Egyptian?
Nicky is a touch talking self-styled “Kilroy clone”, who works as a radio DJ for the BBC’s Five Live working the “graveyard” 6am to 9am shift, when everyone else is fast asleep. Ironically Mel Gibson is a Nazi and as such is in the direct firing line for a “Nasty Nicky” interview.
Nicky once owned a pet Labrador, named Watch. This inspired him to start his own television programme, whereby the viewers would be able to tune in and actually view his dog, it was initially to be titled “Watch Watch Dog” with the clever advertising slogan “Watch Watch Watch dog”. During the time that the dog was on screen, Nicky could be heard in the background moaning about the price of gas, poor quality DVD’s and Cowboy builders. When Watch left Nicky for a younger owner, the show continued with just Nicky’s mindless rants, under the shortened name of “Watchdog.”
Nicky is married to Alistair Campbell and between them they have 4 wonderful children, who recently performed as a pop combo under the name “Deacon Blue”. When they failed to turn up for rehearsal, Nicky famously sat them all down for a full “Watchdog” grilling, which was shown on late night BBC 4 television. Unfortunately, nobody actually watched this.
