[edit] Early Life

Near was born like most of the children present at Wammy's House, an orphanage founded by Quilsh Wanny (otherwise known as Watari), a freak. His complexion came under much question early in his life. Whilst many simple stated he was Albino, Near could very well suffer from Sephiroth complex, a disease which gives the person girlish looks, white hair, pale skin, great intelligence, and untold number of fan boys and fan girls. Much like L, Near had no friends at the orphanage. This was mostly in part to the fact that he saw all those before him as inferior to himself and felt it necessary to let them know it. However, unlike L whom had a cute obsession with cake and candy, Near had a rather disturbing obsession with toys and puzzles. In fact, most of Near's days at the house consisted of him laying on the floor playing with the two said items. He was such an incredibly obvious narcissist that the only friends he ended up ever making was himself and Mello. http://i564.photobucket.com/albums/ss85/ohemmgee/white-hair-dress.jpgHere is his mother and father (Near and his mother share the same sense of style evidently). They were trampled to death when they were dancing with a group of people to a song that was to fast. paa144000034.jpg Here is Nears grandmother. Now we now where his mother got her god awful sense of style and hair white far whiter than her age should show.

[edit] Kira Investigation

Later on in life, Roger; the caretaker of orphanage received word that L; everyone's beloved cake-eating, weird-sitting, funny walking, insomniac had been killed by Kira. He immediately informed Mello and Near whom were both the heir's to L's name. Whilst Mello took the news rather harshly, Near simply called L a loser and blamed his death on L himself. This comment immediately caused many of the viewers of Death Note to turn away and the rest to greatly despise Near. Following this, while Mello went to join the Mafia and got possession of the notebook, Near created an investigation team (in the vein of the team from Law and Order) called the SPK (Special Provision for Kira) to track down Kira.

In the days following, Near came into contact with the new L and Kira himself, Light Yagami. Near immediately began to degrade Light and announced himself as the new letter in town, N. Light immediately began to despise Near as he saw nothing of L in the narcissistic prick, but never the less requested his help in regaining the notebook from Mello and the mafia. Although they accomplish such, the act didn't come without a price and that price was Light's law brown-nosing father, Soichiro Yagami's life. Of course, Near couldn't have cared less. In the days that followed, Near received a surprise visit from Mello (newly scarred from the notebook retrieving incident) whom held one of Near's comrades at gun-point to get her to lead him to the SPK headquarters (but not before having witnessed her taking a shower like Mello does with most of his female hostages). Following a heated argument and a colorful scene filled with vivid colors and subliminal images of Catholicism, the two Wammy House weirdos shared info on the Death Note. Following this, the race to see who would get to Kira first began.

[edit] Close of The Kira Case

Near's collection of Death Note finger puppets. He spent hours on them, but nowhere near as much as his own

Following his chance meeting with Mello, Near spent the last few months into the Kira investigation playing with his toys, constructing finger puppets in the likeness of all the characters of the show (whilst spending the most amount of time on his own), chatting with his comrades Rester, Gevanni, and Hal Linder, and stalking Light's #1 fan and stalker, Teru Mikami. With Gevanni's help, Near managed to switch the real Death Note with a simple, fake, store-bought, Death Note which greatly resembled the actual notebook. With everything looking up, Near met with Light one more time to set up a final confrontation. Light agreed and everything was set.

Following the tragic deaths of both Mello and his ever-so-popular sidekick, Matt, Near and the SPK met with Light and the Japanese Police force at an abandoned warehouse that had been used in the past for multiple gang related events drug trafficing events box social events. Following was an hour long presentation of Near's hand crafted finger puppets and Mikami's ever-so-epic arrival at the scene. Upon learning that the notebook that he had just written all of the people present at the scene (excluding his idol Light Yagami) was a fake, Near revealed that he had been in possession of the real notebook and confirmed Light was Kira. Near then had the pleasure of watching with glee as Light was gunned down by former dumbass turned badass, Matsuda and then finally killed off by Ryuk.

In the year that followed, Near received the Noble Peace Prize for ridding the world of Kira. He accepted the award and gave nobody other than Mello credit for bring Kira down. This caused both the SPK and the Japanese Police Force to despise him.

[edit] Personality

Because he didn't have any friends, Near would spend countless hours on the telephone talking to himself

Near is what many would call an arrogant asshole. Being a genius of greater caliber than both Albert Einstein and Dr. Robotnik, Near grew up with a mentality that he was better than pretty much everyone else. Of course, Near was nowhere near as popular as Mello, Matt, or L in popularity polls. Hell, one can say Misa was more popular than him. Near however discredits all this talk as bullshit.
