Koninginnedag
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia.
Koninginnedag is an official holiday in the Netherlands. On this day, it is commemorated that the Dutch people killed all the Belgians for no reason.
On Koninginnedag, all the streets in the Netherlands are empty. All traffic is blocked, not even cabs and ambulances are allowed on the streets. This is because just after the liberation, the streets were empty as well, for all Belgians had fled to their distant homeland. The empty streets on Koninginnedag remind of this fact.
As all citizens are forced to stay home the whole day. They are mostly glad when it always happens to be raining on that day, for they might have stayed home on an ordinary day under such circumstances, too. They eat Patat with mayonnaise all day long, to mock the Belgians who are fond of this exotic dish. Because of Murphy's Law, most Koninginnedagen are very sunny.
Because some belgians that survived the mass slaughter in 1703 still roam the streets, dutch hunting parties track them down at night and smoke pot while burning their corpses. Sometimes the germans come as well, they seem to enjoy the smell of burning corpses above anything.
After that, the day after, children like to pretend it is still Koninginnedag because this means they can murder Belgians and German people without needing an excuse. Any excuse will usually be accepted, but because they're hard to think of, children use this holiday as their favourite excuse.
In the year 2948, on Koninginnedag, the aliens also came to join the Dutch in this celebration. They just took all Europeans and gave Holland all of europe to rule. Because the Dutch are so awesome, echt gaaf, they accepted europe and turned it into a nation full of patat, paardelullen and snert.
