Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia is the irrational fear of the number 666. The first recorded outbreak of this highly contagious phobia was seen in the year 665 AD, in the village Wünderbaum in southern Germany, which had a population of 667 people. The source of the infection was eventually traced to a peasant by the named of Günther the Terminally Drunk.
