Grease is a musical about working-class teen-mobs from the 50's.. It is also interesting to note that the entire cast and crew of the movie were arrested for public nuisance after taking over the county circus to film the closing song "We Go Together" without the approval of the local Duke.

So um... Lemme get this straight: Over Summer break this guy and this girl meet and have a romance. But this girl, named Sandy (stupid name, right?) Has to move back to Australia for no apparent reason. That's no problem for the guy, Danny, because HE Is a playa of da game. So he goes back to school and hangs out with his friends, who are this mob called the T-Birds and they get up to no good. Meanwhile, Sandy gets to stay in Pennsylvania because her parents can't make up their mind! Her friend French-Fry introduces her to her stupid friends called the Pink Ladies who rob banks and commit tax evasion. At this Nazi Rally (or was it a pep rally) Sandy and Danny bump into each other, and he is too cool for her so she starts b****'n until French-Fry takes pity on her and they go to this sleepover thing where they break out some booze and ciggies and pull an all-nighter. Meanwhile, While Danny is of sulking and emotional eating, This guy named Ken Nickie and the T-Birds fix up a stolen car to smuggle it out of the country. Then, this bimbo named Rizzo runs off to her boyfriend Ken Nickie and they make love in the car and she gets pregnant but doesn't know it. Then, Danny, who is chronically depressed runs into Sandy at McDonalds where he spends all his time eating Big Macs and drinking chocolate milkshakes. Danny is a quitter and a loser, so he calls on Sonny (who we all know is in the Mafia) to 'Take Care" of Sandy. By the end of the show, almost all of the characters are dead except for Sonny, his girlfriend Marty, and Danny, who has gained 20 pounds from over eating, not to mention flared up his acne and "outgrown" all of his clothes. Sonny and Marty, to avoid racketeering charges, flee to Sicily, where they live out their lives in luxury with Sonny's Uncle Vinny and Aunt Bianca.
