So I wrote an article and saved it, and it was gone immediately. It was an article about a legitimately famous person (michelle malkin). I realize it was heaviliy incomplete, but I thought this was a wiki and it would provide a good place for people to get started and go wild. how do I get it back? what should I do if I have to start over? This huff log will answer a few questions. -- Kip > Talk Works Puzzle Potato Dry Brush CUN Icons-flag-us
Ooo...the Asian Ann Coulter. Try making it under your userpage (eg: User:Witch hammer/Michelle Malkin), work on it, finish it, then move it to mainspace (eg: Michelle Malkin). This will minimize the chance of it getting deleted as a stub. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 01:51, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
It is gone. Resistance is futile. Try to be dignified. Pieface 04:25, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Good explanation might ease the sting, though. Yeah, this is a Wiki but it is one which gets a large number of one-shot, minimally interesting new articles per day. It's easy for an administrator to assume that a short and underdeveloped article is a throw-away. Creating it in your userspace as Modusoperandi suggested is one way to get around that; another way is to create the article offline in a text editor and, when the article has become relatively complete copy the text into Uncyclopedia. Or you can use the Under Construction template -- a pair of curly braces around the word "construction", like {{construction}}. Good luck! ----OEJ 10:30, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
