At User talk:SPIKE#Headers are good, PuppyOnTheRadio identifies some code from MediaWiki:Common.css (originally "from the French Wikipedia") that provides that indented paragraphs appear in compulsive little boxes. After unrelated discussion and third-party trolling, at the bottom of this section I give a Meh! as I am not attached either to the boxes or to trying to exactly imitate Wikipedia stylistically. I do think it's ugly to include for every Uncyclopedia page (even if it doesn't flow over the wire on every page view) some style code that only applies to ns-110 (Namespace 110, the Forum). And I pay per megabyte (unless I pay per gallon to drive to the Public Library).

Does anyone see a reason why the rendering style for Forum discussions should gratuitously differ from the rendering style everywhere else? Spıke ¬ 00:11 13-Mar-13

I've always thought it's stupid. Look what it looks like if you do an extra two-dot thing or four. If you have a way to change it back, please do so. A very good idea, thanks for thinking six steps down the road from us hillbillies sitting on the porch. Aleister 00:58 13-3-13
Even better when you add a line break in there. It's unlike Wikipedia, and I see no rationale for it. And it looks ugly. We don't use it on talk pages anywhere else. No valid reason to keep them, and plenty of reason to remove them.                               Puppy's talk page03:06 13 Mar 2013
per Puppy, a good comment sir. Aleister 22:34 13-3-'13
I don't have an opinion one way or the other. -- Simsilikesims(♀UN) Talk here. 01:41, March 14, 2013 (UTC)
Per Sims. If it bothers some people, then I won't go to the barricade to defend the Status Quo (Shake that hair). --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 07:37, March 14, 2013 (UTC)
Hey, I'm just trying to get some peace here. Leave me alone. Hey, before you leave, gotta light? Thanks. Aleister 10:00 14-3-'13

I concur, the boxes are stupid. Where did they come from anyway? --Mn-z 17:38, March 14, 2013 (UTC)
"From the French Wikipedia," evidently.

Implemented

Hearing no objection, it is done. The only Namespace-110-specific code that remains in the common CSS is the order not to display the tab for the talk page (as Forum pages are talk pages). Sorry that this will break the above examples of ugliness. Spıke ¬ 22:12 14-Mar-13
