Other than be a honey-pot for crap, does Talk:Main Page do anything for this site? I'm wondering if we should just fill it with useful links like {{Welcome}} and lock it. We've got plenty of places for people to leave comments, and it seems to me that it would be better for people to have to at least look at links to important stuff before they can edit. Or perhaps just redirect it to Forum:Help and add a better intro to the top of that page. My concern is that after seeing our killer Main Page, the 2nd page visitors might see is one like this. Sounds good. —Braydie 00:01, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
I don't know abut locking it, but a big notice directing people to the main part of the site, and saying that the page is only to be used for discussing the main page itself would be good. Spang talk 00:04, 21 Mar 2007
Eh, but that wouldn't solve the problem of "My concern is that after seeing our killer main page, the 2nd page visitors might see is one like this"Braydie 00:07, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
I quite enjoy Talk:Main Page, nothing useful comes out of it, but that doesn't mean we have to delete it. Maybe just completely blank it every once in awhile... no need for archiving, really. I don't like the idea of completely locking a talk page, but maybe semi-protection would be good, and someone to look after it and delete unrelated things like that screamer that's on there (gullible as this makes me: I'll volunteer if you like). And definitely a link to the Village Dump right at the top so people know where they can actually go and talk about stuff. --Strange (but) Untrue  Whhhy?Whut? How? *Back from the dead* 14:47, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
