We are now using MediaWiki 1.10 alpha. Please let me know if you notice anything wrong or not working. And if anyone... ANYONE... asks me when we are going to 1.11, I may just have to flush your head down the nearest toilet. ktxs -- sannse@Wikia (talk) 13:17, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

When are you going to...oh, wait, never mind. Anyway, I haven't noticed any difference yet, which is good. Icons-flag-au Sir Cs1987 UOTM. t. c 13:36, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
This page does not exist... hmmm... aren't we blatantly violating its right to exist? Also, can we now put the old CVP and all of the protected links to it on QVFD and make them go away? Thanks.
Also, does this mean French military victories will become a redlink? --Carlb 13:56, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Aww - I kinda liked the old thrill of the chase of reporting This page does not exist. Anyway, the only other change I can see is in change summaries we're now getting underlines and strikethroughs instead of red text (e.g. [1]). I'm not sure whether I like that really - it's less easy to spot and kind of cluttery on busy summaries. Any workarounds? --Strange (but) Untrue  Whhhy?Whut? How? *Back from the dead* 15:00, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Wow, on average all articles seem to be 9,3% funnier and the number of quotes is way down. What a fucking great upgrade, oi oi oi. --Vosnul 17:13, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
I'd like to take most of the credit for deleting most of the quotes on the site. --General Insineratehymn 17:50, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
you mean it wasn't the upgrade ?. Why upgrade then ? Add some hardware first.. --Vosnul 17:53, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Huummmmm... we are getting some slowness here. It's due to some big queries, that might be coming from the extension that organises the Dump. So we may have to turn that off for a while (the alternative being to go back to 1.9 while it's sorted out). So if you can't find this message, we've already turned it off. It will be back as soon as possible -- sannse@Wikia (talk) 21:02, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

so... I hear 1.11 is about a year away. incompetence has achieved a new paradigm -- Prof. Olipro Icons-flag-gb KUN (W)Anchor Op Bur. (Harass) 21:14, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Has anyone ever played pipe dream? We gotta fix the dump. --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 22:37, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Fixed

Thanks to a swift bit of coding by Algorithm and a bit of magic from Matthew (our main Ops guy), it's fixed! The database is happy with this version. Sorry for the problem folks -- sannse@Wikia (talk) 22:53, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Do the Forum page numbers look wonky to anybody else? The spacing between them is weird. —rc (t) 04:34, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Looks fine to me. In fact, it looks incredible! COOL NEW FORUMNESS! — Sir Wehp! (t!) (c!) — 06:18, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Is this new forum working available for other wikia hosted wikis too? And if it is, how do I implement it?---Asteroid B612B612 (aka Rataube) - Ñ 02:05, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
Yes, it should be working on all of them. To get the same look, either steal the code from here, or ask Algorithm what he did (I can't see all the bits) -- sannse@Wikia (talk) 20:08, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Walking Mummies, No problem. Babies, AAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGhhh --Vosnul 06:28, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Alright, so maybe I'm a bit slow...

...but, I just noticed that that diff pages are different. I liked it better with all the red texty bits. It made it very easy to quickly see what had been changed. Now it takes a closer look-see, which means more work, which means two things. Either you guys give me a raise, or change it back, or I'll probably complain about it for a couple more minutes until I forget what the hell the problem is. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 23:28, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

I'm going to give you a raise of 200% of what you're making now... Let's see, that's zero times 200% plus zero. Yeah, that should do it. Dawg.gif » Brig Sir Dawg | t | v | c » 2007.06.30.05:25
I actually know what ZB is talking about. I liked how it sorta highlighted them before much better than the new way. Now it kinda underlines stuff and crosses it out. To see it better, I have to hold ctrl and use the mouse wheel to make everything bigger. P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon Baloon(Tick Tock) (Contribs) 00:07, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
I said this above. But nobody listened. So I guess nobody is listening now and I can say what I like. You all suck. Okay I'm done. Oh, and I vote for red text too. --Strange (but) Untrue  Whhhy?Whut? How? *Back from the dead* 08:11, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Let me add a "me no likey" as well. Now I can't tell you if it's actually less useful, or just that it's different and I'm not used to it, but I'm not overly keen on the diff change. Bone_F_clear.png Sir Famine, Gun Petition » 06/29 01:21

If enough people don't like it, it can easily be changed back with le CSS. Or copy my user css, there's a bit in there that changes how the diff pages display. Spang talk 01:19, 29 Jun 2007

Well sure Spang, that changed how my diff pages displayed, but it didn't change it back to the way that it was before the upgrade. You think you could cook up something that makes everything back the way it was? -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 03:39, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Well sure I could. But I can't really remember what they looked like before, having used my version for a long time. Can't you do it? Can't be that hard to work out. Spang talk 10:13, 30 Jun 2007

To clarify: the <span class="diffchange"> were changed to <ins class="diffchange"> and <del class="diffchange">, which apparently are styled in most browsers as underline text by default. There was a corresponding change to main.css (actually a few, see this and this) that uncyc has not yet acquired. This is not a feature, but an ugly bug! Temp fix until real fix can be fixified. --Splaka 10:19, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
