I've parsed a Tor Proxy list and knocked up this page if we decide we want to block them, I can if need be do a similar thing for any other proxy lists out there if we want, with a few admins and a tab enabeled browser it probably won't take that long (try one of the links to see why) the question is do we want to do this (I've also added a link to add the users page to your watchlist in case we block someone innocent)?--The Right Honourable Maj Sir Elvis UmP KUN FIC MDA VFH Bur. • I've wanted to do this for some time, and even asked Carlb is it was something that Hymie could assist with. Haven't heard back from him, but I'm still interested in pursuing this as a continuation of the efforts he (and others) have already made to block open proxies based on available lists. ~ T. • OK I tried doing 1 - 100, was pretty quick, I also added links to the user and talk page to make it easier to spot if they are blocked incorrectly/stop being a proxy, finaly I add a quick record of who had what ranges to the notes section (editing the proxy selection is quite painful on my connection/computer).--The Right Honourable Maj Sir Elvis UmP KUN FIC MDA VFH Bur. I got a few. If it turns out we don't want them blocked, I'll undo them. Spang talk 00:53, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Don't block Tor users, Tor is a good thing. --Sir gwax (talk) Signuke 21:41, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Tor is a good thing for a lot of purposes, like whistleblowing and free speech protection. But I can't think of a good reason why a person would need Tor to edit our site. Who or what are you hiding from that requires you to use Tor? Probably nothing valid. --Sir ENeGMA (talk) GUN WotM PLS 00:56, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
What about places that block Uncyclopedia such that Tor is necessary to even access the site. --Sir gwax (talk) Signuke 01:09, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
They will still be able to view the site, unfortunately until we get softblocking (glares at wikia) so that registered users are not blocked as well there isn't much we can do about it.--The Right Honourable Maj Sir Elvis UmP KUN FIC MDA VFH Bur.
