So yeah, was on IRC earlier and Kalir said something about a voting template on some other wiki. So naturally I went over there, signed up (you have to register to edit), stole the code and edited for our own potential use. Basically it's a better voting format that we could use in VFH. It will organise the voting better and make it easier for people to know what the score is (won't someone think of Rc and his featuring?).
It can be found at Template:Vote and it basically explains what you have to do there. I did think that it would make voting more complicated, but some people said that the same kinda idea is easy to use at VFD once you know how.
Feel free to copy that coding under the sandbox heading below, mess about with it, make it screw up, address problems with it and then tell me what you think. Thanks. —Braydie 23:30, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
This template exudes goodness of extreme measures. SirCs1987UOTM.t.c 03:15, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
It's good. Some n00bs might find it hard, but it should be pretty easy, if not easier, once they see how other people do it. •Spang•☃•talk• 09:01, 5 Mar 2007
Looks simple to me. Very simmilar to VFD and easier to summarize (have you ever needed to count -1 and +1 votes between a jungle of comments?). -- herrdoktorneedsAcorpse[scream!] 15:52, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
I prefer the simplicity of this, it is far easier to mess around with, and you do not need to try to count up the votes. --Shadowlost 15:57, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
we were all uncyc noobs once, it didn't take anyone long to work out how to vote, and this system's no more confusing than the one we have already. we'll get used to it in no time - jack mort |cunt| talk - 19:30, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
It easy to read on the outside and cuts down on obscure votes where it's hard to tell a voters true intentions. Silly Floridians! --Kenvalyi 18:53, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Dig. Might be confusing for people new to wikis. I am not one of these people however, and I do so enjoy boxes. :) --THINKER 05:42, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
VFH is fine and simple right now, enter, type for or against and a wee little message. You don't even have to worry about changing the score because someone always checks. All this code sucks and I don't like it. Damned radicals, next you'll all want to revolt against Chronarion and enact a new ruler--Witt,ofUNionEntertain me* 06:18, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
It's pretty but...N00bs have enough problems with the current system. This is more complicated. What we need is simpler.--SirModusoperandiBoinc! 06:33, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
We might have to wait for Rc to get back (because he'll probably want a say in this because he runs VFH etc) —Braydie 23:30, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
My vote is conditional. What about the nifty score jokes? -- herrdoktorneedsAcorpse[scream!] 15:53, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Add "|scoretext=Text here" to the side of the table. —Braydie 15:56, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Since Spang is kinda the code guy around here I asked him about auto-counters, and simply put he said "It's more trouble than it's worth" —Braydie 23:36, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm neutral on the idea. On one hand it does look good and helps keep things orderly; on the other, it is more intimidating for new people. I'm perfectly willing to give it at least a test run. —rc(t) 19:47, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Alright. Cool. —Braydie 00:52, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
How are we to do that? Someone nominate an article using the template? --ЖKalirtotally not Wario at all 03:18, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
Comment - Can we also make one for VFP? --AAA! (AAAA) 00:45, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
I think it should pass the "test run" time first. I'll ask Rc in a couple of days to see whether it passes or whatever. But it can be adapted, yes. —Braydie 20:22, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
He pulled that thorn out of my paw that time. Sure, I still mauled him afterwards. But I felt a little bad while I did it. --SirModusoperandiBoinc! 19:47, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

That second against vote is mine. I was so certain that I had selected 'remember me on this computer'. --Advertising Rights for this space is available.(Terms}WildyI'm jumping on the bandwagon@You have something to say? 06:45, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
