Ok, so I created a wiki for this local Jersey City band called Scorched Earth. I myself am in this band, and I thought it would be a fun idea to create an uncyclopedia article about it. However, i took off this warning taht appeared on the page, and I believe that is the reason it was deleted at first. Stupid move on my part. I re-created it, but it was deleted AGAIN. Maybe the admins think this is too much of an inside joke, but this IS a real band, and I don't know why the page keeps being "huffed". Sure, some of the content on there is a little offensive to the members in the band, but everyone is ok, with it, and I don't use real names for the most part. Yes, I am a n00b. FlAME ALL YOU WANT. But i really would like to know why this keeps happening. --Marzo869--

I've been wanting to fiame a n00b for such a long time! Thanks!-- Tinymooose.gif » Sir Savethemooses Grand Commanding Officer ... holla atcha boy» 20:41, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
As a result of some recent events, we have tightened our "vanity" policy. That means that pages about non-notable people or things (i.e. does it have a wikipedia page) get deleted. Previously, pages about local rock bands were excepted from this and allowed, but now we have cracked down, so such pages have a hard time surviving. I'm sorry that we can't host your in-joke page anymore, but there are moral and legal problems that come with having pages about non-notable people. Since we don't know the people talked about, and since we can't really be sure the people being insulted are okay with it, we have trouble policing such pages. Unfortunately, there are enough assholes out there that we've run into problems as a result of failing to police such pages, and now we pretty much disallow them. It is possible that if you talked to our founder, Chron, he might grant an exception for your page, but otherwise the page will have to stay deleted for policy reasons. I hope you understand why we can't host it and hope it doesn't sour you on contributing in other ways. ---QuillRev. Isra (talk) 22:22, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
If nobody has heard of your band, and your article isn't funny, it will get deleted. Go with something more notable. --User:Nintendorulez 21:31, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

...You can post your articles, however dumb they are, on my page, if my page doesn't break your computer. Mr. Briggs Inc. 23:57, 21 October 2006 (UTC) Eh?

Have I ever told you that you give me a splitting headache?--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 09:21, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
