Well, I've done it again, and its broke real good this time. Why does my timestamp appear on a new line on some pages but not on others (like this one >.< typical!)

Heres the string from my prefs: {{SUBST:nosubst|User:Ceridwyn/sig}}<span style="color:#FF3399"><small>{{subst:#time:h:i, d F Y}}</small></span>

And you can see the code for the sig here: User:Ceridwyn/sig

My sig is wrecking pages left right and centre! User_talk:Ceridwyn for example. Please can someone help?Ceridwyntalk contribs arc2.005:05, 27 April 2007

Hmm I seem to have fixed it by putting the timestamp in my sig, does this matter? Ceridwyntalk contribs arc2.0
Bother, it does matter because its not updating. /sigh I had a feeling that would happen. Ok back to needing help again! Ceridwyntalk contribs arc2.0
Lose the <small>{{subst:#time:h:i, d F Y}}</small> in the prefs, maybe? You were showing two date/time groups, which means the substy thingy isn't substying. I hope that wasn't too technical. I am somewhat of an expert in these matters, as my complex and complicated sig can attest. --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:47, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Or you can try making your sig more pink. A lack of adequate pinkness often leads to problems like this. --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:49, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah I cant do away with the <small>{{subst:#time:h:i, d F Y}}</small> because thats the timestamp. the regular one isnt pink and its too big. BUT I suspect I've finally fixed it. found a rogue span in my code :) Spang would be so proud. Either that or it needed more pink! >:D Ceridwyntalk contribs arc2.0 06:08, 27 April 2007
Ah, the rogue span. It's tripped up many a sig. I would have noticed, but I really have no idea what I'm talking about (although I did once fix a user's closing an open span). --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 06:17, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Heh well I appreciate the help nonethless! My vote for you is definately well justified! Ceridwyntalk contribs arc2.0 06:34, 27 April 2007
Your rather liberal definition for "help" makes me giddy. --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 06:46, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Well, how about I appreciate the correspondence while I figured it out for myself, nevertheless, your intent to try and help was nice ^_^ Better? Ceridwyntalk contribs arc2.0 07:07, 27 April 2007
Okay. That's giddiness inducing as well. --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 07:16, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Erm, go away you smell? And I herd you leik mudkips. (better?)Ceridwyntalk contribs arc2.0 07:55, 27 April 2007
No. You lost me on that one. --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 08:09, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

My proudness at you fixing it is matched only by my hatred of Ghelae style signatures. Bonus points for all the pink though. Spang talk 08:34, 27 Apr 2007

For changing Spang's sig to: ~ Spang talkcontribs -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 09:30, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Well first off, no, because Ghelae style signatures are actually breaking the sig height rule, being 21 pixels high in total. Second, you got the colours all wrong. Third, no. Spang talk 02:02, 27 Apr 2007
Is that why i'm not using my Ghelae style sig as much anymore? -Han Solo (High Gen. Grue) Comlink Grueslayer
Awww Spangles, I only did it because I thought the all pink would really bring another angle to it. Without my all pink touch it would not be the same ;P AND it took me ages to add the fourth box to it, rather than just using the template. Don't worry, I saved my old one ;P I gots a pink iPod skin for my birthday, so now my iPod, Nintendo DS AND my cellphone are all pink XD My handbag looks like my signature :P Ceridwyntalk contribs arc2.0 10:14, 27 April 2007
So does mine! Well, okay, it's green and I have a green word in my signature. So maybe not so much. --Strange (but) Untrue  Whhhy?Whut? How? *Back from the dead* 22:51, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Close enough! Yay!! :) Ceridwyntalk contribs arc2.0 02:43, 28 April 2007
