Forum:Search bar broken again
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia
“Did you know its possible to rupture ones own rectum with a 34-ounce ash baseball bat? Well, after last year, I certainly do.”
The Uncyclopedia search bar (in Mozilla 3.5) still takes you directly to an article if you type its exact name (if you check Go-Search in Preferences). However, as of the morning of 10-Oct, it will not take you to any article outside of mainspace (such as Special:Watchlist or UnNews: or Forum:) but will search for the specified page in mainspace.
Separately, apparently as of the switch to the new version of MediaWiki, the semantic confusion between "watching" and "following" a page seems to be back with us.11:39 14-Oct-12
PS--Thanks to RAHB for adding a template to this. (Change summary: Without the header this doesn't show up anywhere and nobody can see your important message. HEADERS!) My error was a consequence of the file getting created in the wrong namespace, by the said bug, then being moved to Forum:. 20:44 15-Oct-12
- Yeah, I've experienced similar problems. It will search for some userspaces, for example, but not all. Admins, sure. Newer accounts, not so much. I mentioned it to Sannse the other day, and she told me to send a bug report, so I did. It's Mrthejazz... a case not yet solved. 05:50, October 16, 2012 (UTC)
