As the title says. We've always had a rule against it, but it has always been a pain in the butt to monitor. Hence the below:

Extension:DynamicPageList (DPL), version 2.02 : Warning: No results.

So the format if the list is:

Edit link to article containing userspace link | userspace link article contains

If anyone wants to start going through these and cleaning them up be my guest. I've set this up to just look at mainspace articles (so not UnNews, HowTo, etc), but that can be easily modified.                               Puppy's talk page12:12 15 Feb

Thanks for this. Some of the biggest offenders were in navigation templates; pointing them to userspace should be an instant nom for our monthly Shameless Whoring award. Spıke ¬ 12:51 15-Feb-13
A long time ago in a gal far away I got a ruling from Mordillo that we can mainspace someone's user space article if it's good and if they've been gone for awhile. That ruling made sense to me, and I mainspaced two pages I think (one was the user page of Unregistered user, if I recall right). If Puppy was gone for awhile I'd mainspace his mother in hell page. I agree with that. "If it's good" should be the guiding criterion. Nothing impedes the user who had asserted control over it from going on to make it better. Spıke ¬ 13:15 15-Feb-13
If a page is good enough to mainspace then I'd rather it be mainspaced than the link to user space be deleted. Most of these user subpages are user subpages for a reason. (YMSCHIMF is the definite exception.)                               Puppy's talk page01:17 15 Feb
This assumption is especially warranted for the userpages formerly in Template:Wrestling. Spıke ¬ 13:36 15-Feb-13
Are several false positives on the list, for example, forum pages or talk pages. --Mn-z 13:48, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
The code calls to go through any pages in namespace “Main” and look for links that are “User:something/something”. It excludes Forums, Talk pages, and other stuff. It also excludes UnNews, UnTunes, HowTo, and a bunch of others.                               Puppy's talk page09:29 15 Feb
When you can't find the entry by editing the article, it may be in a transcluded template; or maybe Puppy or I have already removed it and the list hasn't regenerated. Cheers to all for getting this list down to a single page now! Spıke ¬ 14:10 15-Feb-13
The links to "People Who Like to Fuck Naked" are vital for the page, vital in the vitalist extreme. I don't know what the Poop throwing monkeys talk page thing is, but it's likely relevant. And Gay Jesus talk page is a classic! Aleister 14:17 15-2-'13
Al, you created Poop throwing monkeys/talk as a copy paste of Talk:Poop throwing monkeys. That'll come up as it's a main space page. Given nobody is talking about deleting the talk page, maybe we should delete the subpage that is an irrelevant redundancy.                               Puppy's talk page09:39 15 Feb
I have no memory of doing so, and will defend my right to have no memory of it, and defend my right to have no idea why anyone would do that, let alone myself, who has no memory of writing this post either. Aleister 21:53 15-2-'13
Per your paranoia: User:Aleister in Chains/Poop throwing monkeys/talk. Wikia Antilord 22:13, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
