It appears that the Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube links are now controlled by the other site. I would have no objection to a common facebook/twitter/youtube page. However, I don't think the site should link to a off-link that ONLY links back to the other side.

On a related note, the E-store link appears to go nowhere. --Mn-z 13:48, January 22, 2013 (UTC)

In MediaWiki:Sidebar: The YouTube link was changed 4-Dec by Hotadmin4u69. The link to the store was changed 2-Jan, also by Hotadmin4u69, with the odd Change Summary: The times they are a changin'. The old store, http://store.uncyc.net, still goes to Printfection, but I can't say who gets the loot. Twitter and Facebook have been the same since last summer, added by him, acting as e|m|c. I am not sure when A Time For Secrecy gave way to A Time For Unanimity so cannot speculate on the motive. As for the question cuo bene, the sidebar has only been edited in the last 15 months (except for the recent repair by Sannse) by the four Admins initiating the Fork. Spıke ¬ 17:13 22-Jan-13
The E-store link does go to printfection, but to a page that the directly sells uncyclo merchandise. The youtube, facebook, and twitter links were created in good faith at the time. I can't tell with the store link. The recent donate-tab, however, can safely be called bad faith, or really stupid. However, like I said, above, we should not link to uncyclopedia off-site projects that don't link back here. --Mn-z 17:28, January 22, 2013 (UTC)
It goes without saying. Wikia's business model is presumably to try to become a Mecca for authors and readers, taking advantage of the resulting traffic is a benefit for which Wikia would be owed payment, and siphoning it off surreptitiously is directly analogous to tapping electric lines on the other side of the meter, even if one calls oneself an artist. There is more speculation on my and Puppy's talk pages. Spıke ¬ 18:11 22-Jan-13
I'd say the best thing is to remove the links completely for now, and then put back any that work for this wiki later. I understand that the Facebook and Twitter pages will be pointing to the new wiki, so best to remove them, and then work out if anyone staying on this wiki wants to create new accounts that will point here -- sannse@Wikia (talk) 18:42, January 22, 2013 (UTC)
