Out of random curiosity, I'm wondering what, if any, image review system there is for deleting apparently useless images. Is it just sysop-based? — Lenoxus 04:19, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Well, there's Image VFD, which no one ever uses, and Special:Unusedimages, which is a good place to not find the picture you're looking for. Does that answer your question? No? I'll just go sit in the corner then.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:12, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Since images can't be easily restored, we tend to be a lot more open regarding the quality (or lack thereof) of submitted images. Basically, as long as it isn't a shock image and it doesn't accommodate identity theft, it probably won't be deleted. --Algorithm 09:17, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
This should be possible (to restore images, I mean) once the update comes. Which is "between approximately 8 and 13 UTC (1am and 6am PDT) on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 March." —Braydie 22:26, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
I noticed. I think they could have made it more obvious though, don't you? --Strange (but) Untrue  Whhhy?Whut? How? *Back from the dead* 02:25, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
True that. Rainbows happen too often here in The Future to really grab attention. Thanks for the input, everyone… given the points that have been made, I'm thinking of starting an image orphanage on my userspace. If I ever get around to it, it would be here. And if someone else has already done it elsewhere, frankly, I don't give a damn. Lenoxus 16:07, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
