We need to add a note to explain that there is a delay when overwriting existing images, the new image is not instantly visible on the image page. The reason for this is a change to the way Wikia manages images, designed to speed up image views for non-US visitors. The plan is to add an automatic warning of the delay, but until that is in place, a note somewhere in the mediawiki messages would be a good idea. http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Uploadtext or http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Imghistlegend are two suggestions. MediaWiki:Fileexists might be the best bet, as that's the message you get when you overwrite an image. A warning that the change won't be visible immediately should be seen clearly there. I'm not sure many people even read MediaWiki:Uploadtext, it's such a large chunk of text. It could probably do with a cleanup anyway. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 02:37, 05 Jun 2007
