I've only read things here before, but thought I'd join to give you all the benefit of my magic brain tumor before it eats my head from the inside out, which of course naturally leads to the question: Why are some "titles" ... "Protected" and what the carrot soup does that mean? Are they sacred? Infectious? Or for instance, is there some sort of owner/admin bias against making fun of say ... eli Manning?

Hi! Infectious, this is the right word.
But on a serious note, we have some articles that are featured (voted to be on the main page, such as Cleopatra right now) and they are protected against IPs and users who are not yet autopoatrolled. If you keep on editing Uncyclopedia and get to know the rules, you will be autopatrolled and will be able to edit them (however, editing featured articles is not advisable, that's why they are protected in first place). If you don't see a Featured stamp on the Uncyclopedia logo of the article you are reading, then you can probably edit it, unless admins protected it because it was often vandalized before. Many 'technical' pages are also protected against editing but for other reasons, they were done by the admins and are important on Uncyclopedia and so any possible vandalism of them may be harmful for the functioning of the site. I hope I explained everything to you! Welcome here! Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 09:16, December 17, 2013 (UTC)
As per Anton. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 10:11, December 17, 2013 (UTC)

Plus you are a new member, so it will take a couple of days for fuller rights to kick in. Be patient, and soon Eli Manning will be your bitch. Aleister 12:16 17-12-13
