I have MediaWiki 1.6.10 and noticed you guys have "Prefix" as an argument for the inputbox extension. How do you do that? I believe that it is not included in the extension by default.

I think that you need to upgrade MediaWiki for it to work. There should be upgrade instructions at [1] or [2]. Also, did you mean "preload?" --Starnestommy (TalkContribsFFSWP) 01:26, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
I have the latest version of inputbox (it works on 1.6.10 with one minor change) from Meta (my host has PHP4 >_<), and I do mean Prefix...

Well, being rude is not the way to go about getting answers. That's the truth.-Sir Ljlego, GUN VFH FIYC WotM SG WHotM PWotM AotM EGAEDM ANotM + (Talk) 03:42, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
The "I demand answers" thing was added in a humorous way. anger2headshot 04:00, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
You could make a database backup and copy the wiki to another host. --Starnestommy (TalkContribsFFSWP) 04:04, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
I admit I am using a free host... --anger2headshot 04:08, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
There are many free hosts with more up-to-date software. --Starnestommy (TalkContribsFFSWP) 04:13, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

But why do I need MW 1.10.1 in the first place? After all, I got the inputbox extension today, and I'm sure the link didn't have something to show an older revision at the end of it. --anger2headshot 04:18, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

What you need is createbox, not inputbox. It just gives you more options, I think. Spang talk 04:25, 28 Jul 2007

"MediaWiki: 1.7 and above" --anger2headshot 04:28, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
I found CreateArticle which claims to work under MW 1.6.9+ and has the prefix thing, I'll try that out... --anger2headshot 04:31, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

EDIT: It works, thanks for the help... --anger2headshot 04:37, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
