Alrighty Uncyclopedians, the (American) Football season draws near, and I happen to know at least a few people here are pretty avid football fans (like myself). I am therefor planning to host a fantasy football league on Yahoo made up entirely of Uncyclopedia members. Nothing major--just a free, public league--with the winner getting bragging rights, and maybe, if I feel like making one, a template or something.
Before I do anything, I need to make sure there's enough interest. I'm looking to host a 6-10 man league. If you're interested, sign your name below in the manner in which I have:
you can't stifle me. i'll sing all i want to. no matter matter matter who calls / i gotta screeeeen my phone calls. SirGerrycheeversGunTalk 15:01, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Pretty much. Staircase CUNt 02:24, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
So does this have anything to do with creating your own fantasy football team with members like Jenna Jamieson and Elle MacPherson? Pupt 06:40, 19/07/2009
I know, "technically," I can't call a player, but "technically," the rule book doesn't say I can't hire my mafia buddies to dispose of whoever tries to take-a the Westbrook. DonPuttanocHeDDs 02:08,20July,2009
Yes, as long as you can make them sound football related. Quarterback quartering anyone? DonPuttanocHeDDs 02:30,20July,2009
OK, so we only need, like, one more person to join (so they'll be eight and an even number), and then I can get other aspects of this thing cracking. —UnführerGuildyRittervonGuildensternenstein 02:30, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Due to my extreme lack of knowledge, I'm afraid I won't be joining you. I'm just going to enjoy my own fantasy football herePupt 04:31, 21/07/2009
Which site will we be using? Yahoo? FOX? NFL.com?--<<>> 15:32, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Indeed. I see that now. It seems tl;dr can apply to things three sentences long, as well.--<<>> 15:49, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
If anyone knows any user here who might be interested and hasn't joined yet, round 'em up and have them join. And yes, I did say this would be done over Yahoo!. —UnführerGuildyRittervonGuildensternenstein 17:42, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Specifics
Alright, so, now that we've got our 8 men, we need to figure out league specifics. First, however, you should probably all know what the roster situation is, etc.
We will be using standard fantasy football rosters, which are:
1 Quarterback
2 Runningbacks
3 Wide Receivers
1 Tight End
1 Kickers
1 Team Defense/Special Teams Unit
6 Bench
Scoring will also be standard FF scoring, which I'm too lazy to list right now.
Now that you all know that, we need to determine what sort of league and draft we want.
For the Draft, there are two options:
Live Draft on Yahoo. This is the more traditional method, though we'd all need to be on Yahoo, at the same time, which could be really difficult to coordinate.
Uncyclopedia Forum Draft. I make another forum topic called Fantasy Football Draft, and we draft our players on the forum, one at a time. This would probably be easier to organize, but would take much longer.
For the League itself, there are two options:
Head to Head League. One team plays another team, the team with the most points wins.
Points League. Playoff seeds etc. are determined simply by the number of points scored per team, with no head-to-head matchups.
And some point, I will also be needing all of your emails to send league invitations.
yeah, a live draft is probably out of the question. we should certainly set up some sort of 12- or 24-hour rule so that a forum draft flows nicely, though. SirGerrycheeversGunTalk 15:48, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Personally, I find these much easier and effective, assuming we get everyone there at the same time. Staircase CUNt 15:32, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Because apparently no one we give the #1 pick to is going to draft. 33 hours in, and still on the first pick, and counting...--<<>> 00:12, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
Though, I like the Live thing on Yahoo, I doubt everyone will get there at once. And this forum idea will take a long while. And I don't know how, after selecting them, we will actually get them on our teams. But sureWoodyOnFire!Talking WoodyStalking Woody 15:36, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
To answer Woody's above question, I can use my league commissioner powers to put players on the appropriate teams. Also, I will need all of your emails to send league invites at some point. Also, all of you will obviously have to have a Yahoo! account if you don't already. —UnführerGuildyRittervonGuildensternenstein 16:11, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Um... could I maybe give this to you in the chatroom? I don't like posting my email where everyone can see it, if I can help it (what with that stalking incident I had).--<<>> 00:25, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
That's fine, I'll just send you the league info over your talkpage, though it is easier to just do it by email. No biggie, though. —UnführerGuildyRittervonGuildensternenstein 02:24, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
