The FANDOOMbot (FANDOMbot) is changing the embedded video links to YouTube. It seems to be importing the descriptions of the videos, along with other links. This has been done before, I will look for the relevant forum and reasons for these changes. I am not particularly bothered by this, many users have added these to personal pages but I will be interested if anyone has another view on this. I am more annoyed that this has gone ahead with prior notice...but as with the 'skin' issue, not telling volunteer bods what's going on is something of an Evil Hq likes to do. A new article about FANDOOM is required! --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 09:52, June 6, 2018 (UTC)

Ok. I had a look on Evil central. This link explains what is going on: --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 10:02, June 6, 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, announcements like that show up in the Community. Now that Uncyclopedia is fully part of Wikia, admins/users will probably want to check up on what's happening there. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a practical way for them to personally notify their 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000... editors. Unless you're on a email list. Compassrose Father ALDEN LOVESHADE??? I'm kinda surprised the old method worked. YouTube has redone how embeds can be done at least once before. FANDOOM might still be guilty of being slow on the uptake unless this change came via YouTube recently. Flash is bad news anyway in terms of security and being a memory hog, though many still use it. With this rolling tide of changes, I hope my 5 remaining brain cells can keep up. --Nigel Scribbler sig2 (talk) 20:28, June 6, 2018 (UTC)

I have been trying the 'mobile' experience more on this site. A few years back (when I was invited over to see the weEvils in action, mobile traffic to Uncyclopedia then was about 20%. I guess I could ask if they had anymore up to date stats. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 21:32, June 6, 2018 (UTC)
No indeed, not on the email list. However there is an issue with notifications not coming via the MediaWiki links. That was always a good way to alert ALL the community here. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 21:34, June 6, 2018 (UTC)
