Alrighty so... you know how up there ^^^ there's a bunch of tabs? well now you can add your own just by clicking a button; be aware they're not cross-browser, this is not integrated into MediaWiki, but I'm sure some people will find it handy nonetheless: it allows you to add your own tabs (and navigation links) to all the pages you visit, whilst also allowing you to remove them.

To install it, copy this to your uncyclopedia.js

document.write('<script type="text/javascript" src="'
  + '&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript&dontcountme=s"></script>');

after that, (remember to do a refresh after saving) you'll find 2 new links next to the log out link in the top right hand corner. Cheers! -- Prof. Olipro Icons-flag-gb KUN (W)Anchor Op Bur. (Harass) 16:58, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

didnt work for me. dont know why. ONX 17:02, 16 May 2007 (UTC) at least one problem. there's an apostrophe at the end, screwed up the link. cant figure out the rest of it.

no I accidentally forgot a function, do a refresh and it'll work now -- Prof. Olipro Icons-flag-gb KUN (W)Anchor Op Bur. (Harass) 17:12, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Conflicting function name... everything is finally sorted and all working :D -- Prof. Olipro Icons-flag-gb KUN (W)Anchor Op Bur. (Harass) 19:56, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

CsNavBar

Cs1987 made a boo boo.

So... like, what kind of tabs would I add? What is this? Where am I? -- Tinymooose.gif » Sir Savethemooses Grand Commanding Officer ... holla atcha boy» 20:15, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Ones to link your best articles on the site.. Oh wait, there's already the "Featured content" link. Hm... :D —Braydie 20:19, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
there... put the message in bold -- Prof. Olipro Icons-flag-gb KUN (W)Anchor Op Bur. (Harass) 20:51, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
I can just guess where your tab points to! ~Jewriken.GIF 21:26, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
I'm not a nerd so I don't know how to do this or what it means. -- Tinymooose.gif » Sir Savethemooses Grand Commanding Officer ... holla atcha boy» 21:28, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
For me, everything seems to work except for "rename" in the tab editor. Even if I do a full refresh, the tab name stays the same after renaming it. As you can see in the image on the right, I made a *cough* spelling error in the last tab in the nav bar. Icons-flag-au Sir Cs1987 UOTM. t. c 06:24, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
There you are STM, I did it for you, now refresh your browser... or press F5 (you can do THAT right?). to Cs1987: can you delete your cookies (or just delete tabsdata and linksdata if you know how) and then refresh whatever uncyc page you're on; you might have corrupted cookies. also, refresh, the rename should work properly now! By the way, you can access the tab editor from anywhere with Tab Editor in the title name -- Prof. Olipro Icons-flag-gb KUN (W)Anchor Op Bur. (Harass) 13:25, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
I do realise you can just delete and recreate the tabs to rename them, but I'll see if the rename button works now. Icons-flag-au Sir Cs1987 UOTM. t. c 01:56, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I see the stuff now, but when I add stuff it says whatnot about Javascript and since I'm neither drinking coffee nor acting in this particular situation, I'm lost. I'd like a way to delete an article and block its creator in one fell swoop. This would help speed up the process of taking care of vanity, vandalism, and cyber-bullying while getting the perps outta here. Is that at all possible? -- Tinymooose.gif » Sir Savethemooses Grand Commanding Officer ... holla atcha boy» 06:02, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Report your experiences

If you're using it, say so here and if you have any feature requests or suggestions; plop them here with a preceeding bulletpoint(*) -- Prof. Olipro Icons-flag-gb KUN (W)Anchor Op Bur. (Harass) 15:08, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Edit existing tabs?

Could it be possible to make the script to make it possible to edit already existing tabs so I could change the "edit" tab "vandalise article"?--Scott 02:47, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm guessing you mean so you can edit where the link itself goes right? -- Prof. Olipro Icons-flag-gb KUN (W)Anchor Op Bur. (Harass) 03:24, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

New function

I've just created a rewrite function very simmilar to the popular ICU one (the one that prompts for fix messages). It prompts for rewrite weights and characters. Ask me if you want it implemented. -- herr doktor needsAbolt Rocket [scream!] 22:46, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Interesting...

What an awesome option. Now, what sort of practical application could I use this for? --Andorin Kato 05:06, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

A question

I figured out how to use the navigation editer thing pretty quick, but what do I do with the tabs? Are they the same as the navigation part but up top? And do they go on every article you see or just certain ones? P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon Baloon(Tick Tock) (Contribs) 20:24, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

same as nav links, except up the top; if you know any javascript, you can of course link them (the nav and tabs) to a JS function. -- Prof. Olipro Icons-flag-gb KUN (W)Anchor Op Bur. (Harass) 21:07, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
