What is this Darwin Rule I have been seeing so much of? most of the pages on the recently removed from VFH has the Darwin Rule Next to it at a certain level. Is there a link? --Mgr. Sir Sonic80 22:02, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Darwin rule is a system of government, much like gerontocracy or crazycracy. Specifically, it consists of a bunch of bearded guys piling onto a boat and going to an island to look at birds. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 03:33, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
I thought a Darwin rule was an implement used to measure Darwin lengths. Spang talk 04:06, 17 Jul 2007
No, that's the "implement used to measure Darwin lengths". They're currently working on coming up with a shorter name for it. And working on what a "Darwin length" is. So far, they're behind schedule. --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 21:23, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

It seems that a lot of articles have been darwinized lately. VFH has been rather stagnant. --THE 22:41, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Did you try opening a window? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 22:53, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Yes, but there was a garbage can underneath. The gerbil threw up twice. --THE 22:54, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
I beg to differ as to the plusquamperfectum darwinized. Apart from the fact that it is misspelled (it should be darwinised) the correct past tense is darwinated. Otherwise, the past tense of urin would be urinised which even the most stupid idiot on the way to extinction would agree is not correct. -- di Mario 11:09, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

The Darwin Rule is like the Jesus Rule, only in reverse. Plus Darwin always brings the beer, although Jesus does tend to turn water into wine. Instead of the Jesus rule saving articles, the Darwin rule has articles go extinct. --Lt. Sir Orion Blastar (talk) 02:56, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

I always thought Brad was just saying "Darwin Rulez!!" as a sort of homage.. Hunh, you learn something new every day.. --THINKER

Just for the record its in Imperial Inches rather than metric. Bloody French. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb (talk to me)

Ah, yes, the so-called "short inch" invented by Sir Humperdinck Radcliff whome - as narrated by the Contessa d'Anunzio in her charming diary "Twenty days under the cliff" - had a rather short thingy and none the less could boast an impressive twelve whole Inches (Imperial). Splendid invention, indeed. And so typically british. -- di Mario 09:42, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
