Forum:Can an admin clear a history page please (sorta-serious)
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia
Could an admin PLEASE PLEASE clear the history page for http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Education_of_Malaysia cause i was a noob and wrote some stuff without creating an account. AND I DONT WANT TO GO TO JAIL DAMNIT. the malaysian government can't take jokes. and i stupidly wasn't using TOR or a safe proxy.
So please someone be kind. i would like to think that i am being paranoid but sadly am not. thanks. MRQWE 00:19, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- You're protected by parody, you're not going to jail, and you can never erase history. The best you can do is get a staff member to do Oversight, but that's a huge pain in the ass for something you shouldn't be worried about.
- In light of the counter-offensive on UnNews and the potential declaration of war, what are the technical restrictions just out of curiosity ? I assume the history is written to tables via triggers or something similar. Couldn't an admin with update privs on the tables just change the contents of the relevant user/IP related rows/columns if worst comes to worse e.g. someone in Malaysia get's seriously spooked. - Just delete and recreate it with the latest version. That does fry some others, but it's safest for our friend here, who we probably should protect from those crazy natives. 2008.01.15.21:16
