Why does a monstrous alien vagina flash on the screen before the actual article starts resolving? I guess having the fast reflexes of a carnivore lets me see things most people don’t notice. I don’t know what subliminal message that is supposed to give us! Verp 06:23, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

It's some sort of flower, apparently. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 13:00, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
It's the spine of a book. --Sir OCdt Jedravent CUN UmP VFH PLS ACS WH 15:39, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
actually, it's meant to be an orchid for the background image, Ceridwyn and (Spang?) did it... and I *told* them it looked like a vag, but did they listen... NOOOO. -- Prof. Olipro Icons-flag-gb KUN (W)Anchor Op Bur. (Harass) 16:11, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
That's impossible- we had it long before Ceridwyn joined, and WP has it as their background too. --Sir OCdt Jedravent CUN UmP VFH PLS ACS WH 19:04, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
It's a long story, but yes, it's different. See for yourself: uncyc's background and wikipedia's background. And it's an orchid! It's your dirty mind that's doing the rest. Spang talk 09:04, 29 Jun 2007
Ah, that explains severalthing. --Sir OCdt Jedravent CUN UmP VFH PLS ACS WH 21:06, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Monstrous Alien Vagina is an awesome movie, by the way. One of Alan Smithee's best. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 21:08, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

For the record, that broad O'Keefe used to paint orchids that looked like shmorchids. --Littleboyonly TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK Oldmanonly 19:30, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Whatever, guys. You know it looks like Jane's Crab Shack. Dawg.gif » Brig Sir Dawg | t | v | c » 2007.06.30.01:18

I’m glad that’s cleared up. I don’t like to have my mind referred to as dirty. Too many humans seem to think sexual images are aromatically dirty. I just found it disconcerting to be looking down the throat of what appeared to be one of Giger’s disturbing images. If you find sex inherently dirty, I feel sorry for you. Sex can be one of the more wholesome acts, and I have a thing for intelligent, wholesome members of the opposite sex. Now if I could just find one. I was afraid maybe Giger’s art was having too much of an influence around here. Verp 01:35, 30 June 2007 (UTC) Oh Hell, I might have given new ideas to the more twisted admins.

An authentic certified photograph of a monstrous alien vagina. Or something.

... But it's best when it's dirty, right? Spang talk 02:22, 30 Jun 2007

So... do we need to start Uncyclopedia:Alien Cooch Background project page to mandate it? -- Prof. Olipro Icons-flag-gb KUN (W)Anchor Op Bur. (Harass) 01:51, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

No, I'd rather have a painting of a flower that looks suspiciously like a vagina instead of the actual lady part. --General Insineratehymn 02:23, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
...which looks suspiciously like a flower? You are looking through a window, but do you know in which direction? Bone_F_clear.png Sir Famine, Gun Petition » 06/30 02:35

Heh, I thought I was the only one who thought it was a vagina. Nice to know I'm not the only corrupted individual in this tangled mass of depravity. --Señor DiZtheGreat Cuba flag large CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) (Praise me!) (Join me!) AMEN! 01:38, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

Wow, I totally never clicked on this forum topic for some reason, and here I finally do, to find that FINALLY people have clicked onto Operation Switcheroo.
If I recall correctly the series of events leading up to it went something like this:
<Spang> I just realised the image in the background of the site is a book!
<Sannse> Yeah...
<Ceridwyn> Really?! I always thought it was an orchid, thanks for ruining my dreams Spang!
<Spang> It can be an orchid if you want it to be
<Ceridwyn> Really? We can do that?
<Sannse> Yeah in theory you can...
So I went and chopped up an image of an orchid overlaid over the original book, but I got the dimensions wrong, and Spang resized it, hence the slight pixellation.
To be honest I can't believe it took you all so long to notice! Oli spotted it weeeeeks ago. ~ Dame Ceridwyn ~ talk DUN VoNSE arc2.0 06:53, 02 July 2007
My internet connection is far too quick to ever notice such things. Feature! :-) --Strange (but) Untrue  Whhhy?Whut? How? *Back from the dead* 11:13, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

I've been noticing it for a while, but it only occurred to me recently that I might ask about it. Verp 21:08, 2 July 2007 (UTC

Ironically, the word orchid comes from the Greek work orkhis, meaning testicle, because of the appearance of the bulbs. The “clitoris” in the picture is the gynostemium (directly above the lubellum) is formed from the fusion of the male and female structures. Vanilla is named for the vanilla “bean” which is actually the seedpod of the vanilla orchid, which is picked before it can mature, and dried. The shriveled up pods where thought to look like vaginas to some of the female deprived Spaniards when they were visiting the Americas, so the Spanish word for vagina is now the name of that spice. As vanilla orchid could be said to mean vagina testicle, I think vanilla orchid would be a good name for a drag queen or hermaphrodite (I’ve been hanging around kitsune too much and now think like one!). Wow, it does look like a vagina. And now I regret noticing it because now I'll be turned on whenever I visit here. -- The fatgoat Talk (to me, obviously) The Crap I've Done 18:13, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
