For the religious among us who choose to believe lies, the self-proclaimed experts at Wikipedia have an article very remotely related to Dan Aykroyd.
Here's Dan Aykroyd with his buddy Chevy Chase in the classic 1990 comedy "Men at Work".

Dan Aykroyd is one of the best Canadian actors ever next to John Candy and Mike Meyers. He never proved this, but this was true after the arrival of Andy Dick.

[edit] Early Years

Dan Aykroyd...on a Mission from God!

Dan Aykroyd was born in Ottawa by French-Canadians who thought he was an alien since he had webbed feet and two different-colored eyes. His father became Canada's Prime Minister by telling the Canadians to either get actors to America or comedy won't be funny! This happened in 1964 when Aykroyd saw Terrance and Phillip on Ed Sullivan. This was when he was 12 and Dan Aykroyd made the decision to be a Catholic TV Preacher.

[edit] Avro Arrow

In 1952 Dan Aykroyd invented the Avro Arrow which he flew to Kingston, ON where he broke the sound barrier. In 1960 the Stephen Harper government discontinued the Arrow program causing Aykroyd to go into a tailspin of depression and alcoholism.

[edit] Catholic School

During the 60's, Dan Aykroyd had a dream to become a Catholic TV Priest. He went to Sts. Peter, Paul, and Mary which was named at the time he got there. Aykroyd spent more time in the confession booth than the priests since he did so many sinful things...according to them. One of them was dressing as a pig and pretending to be the Pope, and before he got expelled he got beaten-up by nuns with rulers.

[edit] Blues Brother

In 1970, after getting beaten-up by nuns, even when attending church, he would play the Blues. His first Blues song was "I've got beaten-up by nuns" and it was a hit...in Toronto. He would play the harp, but since that was too heavy and confusing, he played another harp, the one you put in your mouth.

His nickname was Elwood Blues and at one time, John Candy was Jake Blues. But when SNL came (see below), he was replaced by John Belushi.

[edit] Saturday Night Live

One of the many crazy characters that Aykroyd was, a Conehead.

In 1975, Dan Aykroyd invented a TV Show called Saturday Night Live which featured Chevy Chase, and some other good actors. One of the returning actors was Steve Martin and both him and Aykroyd became 'Two Wild and Crazy Guys'! Even after the show ended, Aykroyd and Martin still were 'Two Wild and Crazy Guys'!

In 1979, Aykroyd left Saturday Night Live for dead and he also took most of the creativity as well. But they would be revealed on "The Blues Brothers", "Spies Like Us", "Ghostbusters", and "Driving Miss Daisy" where he won an Oscar.

[edit] Downfall

Dan Aykroyd at the age of 100.

After winning an Oscar and being in the Tear-Jerker "My Girl", Aykroyd would try and work on a movie called "Nothing but Trouble" which featured Chevy Chase, John Candy, and Demi Moore. The film flopped big-time and Dan Aykroyd even threw the original copy in the Oil Fields of Valkenvania, which is now owned by Chevy Chase and Halliburton.[1]

After a few flops in the movies, with the exception of "Coneheads", Aykroyd moved to Detroit and named himself 'Dr. Detroit', like in the film that he starred in. But after a few years, he would make a new Blues Brothers Movie and that was only fair. So he later moved to Chicago and talks to John Candy's spirit.

In 2009, Dan Aykroyd accepted the role of Stantz for "Ghostbusters 3". They said that this may relaunch his career...or not.
