whoa there. halt the reversions sir. Please note that the general aim here is to ADD to the silliness, and not to indiscriminately and/or destructively redirect many pages contrary to the writer's original intent. Your cooperation in this regard would be most deeply appreciated; thanks. --DWIII 23:32, 16 Mar 2005 (EST)

Yeah. I've been reverting the Phosphorosophy or whatever edits that he did. Stupidity. --PantsMacKenzie 23:33, 16 Mar 2005 (EST)

Thanks for the support & quick action, PantsMacKenzie. (DWIII bows to the almighty admin) :-) --DWIII 23:51, 16 Mar 2005 (EST)

Great job on Millard Fillmore. That article just cracked me right frickin' up. --Uvula Donor 23:01, 18 Mar 2005 (EST)

Re: Millard Fillmore: t'anx Uvula :-) 'twas too easy of course --DWIII 23:05, 18 Mar 2005 (EST)

Your articles slay me, I'm glad to help out with a pic now and again. --Uvula Donor 18:07, 29 Mar 2005 (EST)

Rainbow Brite

I think Rainbow Brite would better as a line of cleaning products or something. Spocksbrain 04:03, 22 Mar 2005 (EST)

Good call on the Roman Empire pic. Yours is funnier. --Uvula Donor 00:07, 6 Apr 2005 (EDT)

Mighty impressed by your Extreme Olympics. I had hoped someone would do that, but didn't even dare to dream that it would be done so thoroughly.--TheTris 08:47, 6 Apr 2005 (EDT)

Thanx, Tris... It could do with lots more entries, but I ran out
of ideas. Feel free to add more. --DWIII 13:02, 6 Apr 2005 (EDT)

  • Re: redirected links such as "Banks", "Fraternities", "Enemies", etc.: Just to let you know that my intent was (hopefully) to cut down on calls for submits to pluralized titles (which tend to be crappy), especially in the cases where we already have (or will probably soon have) decent submits for the singulars. Is this OK?, or should I desist? --DWIII 15:23, 31 May 2005 (EDT)
The only links I'd removed were the ones pointing to pages which do not exist... oops. As for the "most requested article" page, the proper fix would be to edit the pages that had linked to that pluralized title (for instance if you see "Banks (666 links)" it's the pages that are linking to Banks which need to be changed to (preferably) not link to non-existent articles or (at least) not link to the pluralised name. Yes, changing every page with a link to Banks (for instance) is more work (unless you're a robot) but would need to be done even if a live article were being moved from Banks to Bank. --Carlb 15:48, 31 May 2005 (EDT)
I would have thought that redirects would automagically compensate for future article moves; however, I will, in the future, consider editting the original links themselves (where appropriate), instead of redirecting. --DWIII 16:09, 31 May 2005 (EDT)
