Braille mouse
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia.
A Braille mouse is a peripheral for the computer that allows blind persons to navigate in computer operating systems by operating a mouse. Like a normal mouse, the braille mouse moves a pointer about a computer monitor screen. But, unlike a normal mouse, a braille mouse gives the user tactile feedback in the form of digital braille. For persons who don't read braille, moving the braille mouse gives the impression of moving your hand over a pile of sand. The sand is the digital braille, which interprets words and other symbols on a computer monitor as braille symbols on the braille mouse.

[edit] Braille shooters
The braille mouse found its first major application in the video gaming industry, by permitting blinded persons to play first-person shooter games, like Quake, Doom, and Duke Nukem. For the first time ever, blind persons were able to demonstrate their l33t ski11z and talk trash while blowing each other away.
[edit] Braille weapons
The US military quickly applied braille mouse technology to its experimental Unsighted Weapons project. Braille laser cannons, braille mortar-nukes, braille Tesla death rays and braille particle displacers are now standard-issue arms that allow blind soldiers to participate in battle.
[edit] Braille flight
The principle of the braille mouse was quickly adapted to military and civilian flight technology. Now, blind pilots can fly hover cars, flying saucers, and interstellar spacecraft using braille controls.
[edit] Future applications
The potential of digital-visual braille hardware for improving the unsighted operation of modern technology has barely been tapped, and many more applications might be invented by expanding upon the principle.
