[edit] The Theorem of Negative Zero

Eros's theorem of imaginary numbers states that, among other postulates, -0 is equal to +1 which means that -0 is also equal to --1. This theorem was proved by using Newtonian analysis in 1786 by Benedict Arnold. This counterintuitive definition of of -0 has provided the solution to several quantum physics problems and has provided vital insight into the developing concept of String Theory. Despite the complexity of Eros's theorem, the concept is often taught in elementary schools to solidify an early understanding of subtraction.
