Do not put anything up for VFD that is not appropriate for VFD.
Abusers of the policy will be abused by the claw end of a hammer. You have been warned.
If you have an article that meets the criteria for VFD:
Check the revision history of the page. It may have been vandalised, or just badly edited over a long period of time. If so, find a better version and revert the article. It may not be suitable for deletion.
Add {{vfd}} to the article in question. Failure to do so will invalidate the vote.
Provide an initial vote (see below) and include a comment as to why you have placed the article on VFD.
If you are here to vote on the deletion/salvation of articles:
Thank you.
No really, thank you.
Edit the section for the article you are addressing.
Pick a space under the appropriate heading (Keep, Delete, Comment), add your sig/comment preceded with a #
# - Creates a numbered bullet for your entry and makes sure that things are formatted correctly (do not put a space before the #).
Comment - If you care to, leave a comment, even if it is as short as "The article is not at all funny". Votes without comments are less useful in analyzing the quality of an article.
--~~~~ - Sign and timestamp your vote. Unsigned votes will be removed without prejudice.
Allow at least 24 hours before closing a nomination or deleting an article.
Remember to delete any unused images from deleted articles and, if necessary, check what links to the article and remove any backlinks. Make sure to delete any broken redirects created as well.
To avoid confusion, try to remove closed nominations which cause the page to exceed to 20 articles.
If a nomination is kept, please add {{Oldvfd}} to the article's talk page.
To add an article, edit this section, and follow the directions in the comments.
Don't flood VFD full of articles, or at least leave a space between your nominations.
If you increase the number of articles on VFD to over 20, you will be blocked for 1 day, no exceptions. This means do not increase the number of active votes on VFD to over twenty.Inactive votes are shown with either a red link (where they have been deleted), or with the Closed nomination tag to indicate that the article has been kept. You have been warned.
Please remember to check an article's history, in case of recent or long term vandalism, before nominating an article. Also, check the article's talk page and 'What links here' for prior nominations. If the article has been nominated before there will be a link from a VFD archive page.

Semi-procedural delete as nominator. I say semi-procedural because the related page Other brackety thing was deleted at QVFD. The contents of the pages are basically {{:Left-wing}}{{alphabet}} and {{:Right-wing}}{{alphabet}} respectively, but by checking Brackety thing's history, this was apparently Keitei's idea, so I feel this needs a full discussion. --Pentium5dot1 01:02, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Delete Why not. Let's clear up another one off Short Pages. Good work with the template Pentium. -- (but) UntrueWhhhy?Whut? How?*Back from the dead* 19:10, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Delete Doesn't do anything for me. Doesn't even smile. The Oblong Lobster 19:14, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
I have modified {{alphabet}} to link directly to Left-wing and Right-wing. This should be a cleaner implementation of what Keitei was originally thinking. This orphans Brackety thing. Pentium5dot1 00:32, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Keep I thought it was quite good. Did my usual trick of giving it a good scalping - see if that looks any better now...? -- (but) UntrueWhhhy?Whut? How?*Back from the dead* 19:07, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Just because those people are mediocre, doesn't mean this article should be. The article should be funny, not boring. Also, don't forget the redirect. --Dexter111344 16:51, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Keep The article is a perfect example of satire - the irony of it - and evidently lost on some people - is that Ted McGinley isn't Larry Olivier and the article is as entertaining as Ted McGinley's career has been. Dame GUNPotYWotM2xPotM17xVFHVFPPooPMS•YAP• 12:02, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Strong keep It's a good story, and probably the longest and therefore best shaggy dog story you're ever likely to find to put on this page. I don't particularly care if it is plagiarised (we seem to make the odd exception, with acknowledgement). This hasn't got acknowledgement on the actual page yet (although it is on the talk page courtesy of me), but it comes from the "longest joke in the world" page, where I believe it is an original and not very old - I'm sure if the authors knew about us they'd agree to have it up here. So basically, I think at least we should keep until someone thinks of a better one, if such a thing exists! Oh and also, this story reminds me of the time I took the bus to Ogdenville, which in those days was called Nash-county. You could get their for a sixpence with enough over to... -- (but) UntrueWhhhy?Whut? How?*Back from the dead* 19:02, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
As much as I'd like there to be at least a few shaggy dog pages on Uncyc, I'd rather they be original shaggy dog stories. SirModusoperandiBoinc! 01:30, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Long, boring, plagerized all-in-one! And for an added bonus, we'll throw in a crappy, unfunny punchline! --Dexter111344 16:14, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Also, I can't believe you used "long" as a reason for deletion. Perhaps you'd also like to delete AAAAAAAAA! because it contains the letter A? •Spang•☃•talk• 04:56, 18 Jul 2007
AAAAAAAAA! is funny. This article is not. --GeneralInsineratehymn 18:31, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
If it goes (which it shouldn't) Spang you can at least sub the contents into that forum topic it's in. You know, so as not to create any red links or anything. But to be honest, the fact that it's templated from there might be reason enough to keep it. -- (but) UntrueWhhhy?Whut? How?*Back from the dead* 19:18, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Weak Keep or Merge with Gravity per Strange but Untrue's comments. Supersedes my delete vote. Pentium5dot1 21:35, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Actually, just merge with Gravity (and let SbU work on that process). Allow a rewrite of the page about the topic suggested by Dexter111344. Pentium5dot1 00:50, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

If I don't get a chance to look at it soon and it's for the chop, sling it to the old userspace, then and I'll see what I can do. I feel the humble graviton should have an article besides Gravity. -- (but) UntrueWhhhy?Whut? How?*Back from the dead* 18:33, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
