Vote for an article you find excellent. Please add new nominations on the top.
Initial nominations do not count as a vote For. Please use "Nomination and For" or some iteration thereof if you wish to vote for your nomination.
IP votes carry half the weight of registered votes.
Unsigned votes and votes without timestamps will be struck out, so make sure you sign your votes with ~~~~ or press the "your signature with timestamp" button () above the edit box.
You may nominate and vote for your own articles if you so choose - please note it on your nomination.
When nominating an article, the template Template:VFH should be added to the end of the entry using {{VFH}}. Anything you add {{VFH}} to also shows up in Category:Feature nomination.
Failed VFH nominations should only be archived/removed by the sysops who pay attention to this sort of thing.
Previous featured articles can be found on the archive pages.
Current Nominations (new stuff at top, prefix votes with * )
SELF-NOMINATION REGULATION: self-nominated articles (i.e. you write an article and then decide to nominate it yourself) must be at least a week old before nomination. Articles nominated by people other than the author can still be nominated at any time.
VANITY REGULATION: Articles that meet the criteria for vanity may not be nominated.
Nom and For. The wit, the humor, the real melancholy at the heart of this piece would be more than enough to make this VFH. And it's got a really funny Coca-Cola commercial in the middle.--Procopius 12:51, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Self-Nom and For. Well, it didnt win the PLS, but I still think its feature-quality, and hope you all do too. I thank RadX and Modusoperandi for the lovely pics. -- Sir CHolla | CUN 03:21, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
For my favourite article of the PLS.--SirModusoperandiBoinc! 03:38, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
ARRRGH! self-nommer beat me to it!!! For--I thought this was gonna be the winner--Shandon 06:31, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Against. It hasn't really changed since it was nommed in June, and I wasn't too enamored with it then, either.--SirModusoperandiBoinc! 17:34, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
REQUEST FOR WITHDRAWAL (request by nominator) Oh! I didn't realize it had already been nommed once (and hasn't changed since). -- mowgli 22:01, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Against for feature. It could make an interesting mainpage reskin though...--SirModusoperandiBoinc! 02:15, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Against, but I agree with Modusoperandi; someone should try it. --Falcotron 02:50, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
No. But I also agree with MO. -- Sir CHolla | CUN 03:19, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
For. Not the greatest work but I like it.--User:Tom mayfair/Sig 04:32, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
For. Haven't read the article, don't plan to, but those jerks in Pod 6 above this nomination don't want to seem to put the best goddamn movie ever made on the front page, so I'm voting for this one just to smite them. Did I mention Pod six is full of jerks? --Captain Finding Nemo 05:31, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Nah.Amusing maybe but not funny enough to fill our daily humour-bellies.--Gubby 05:34, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
No way. What a contentless piece of junk. -- The Colonel(talk) 15:34, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Comment. Withholding a vote. I seriously like this, but I think it needs to be longer to get VFH (the reskin is not a bad idea). More screens or scheduled days, maybe? It made me laugh, regardless.--Procopius 16:44, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Comment. The original idea was to have a whole system of Teletext pages, but Silent Penguin beat me to it. He preferred his idea of an animated GIF on UnTeletext and I just forgot about the whole thing. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 16:50, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
We haven't had a skin in a long time. We're overdue. The BENSON is a popular skin, but Rc doesn't like it. Crazyswordsman...With SAVINGS!!!! (T/C) 17:01, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Against. It's OK, but not great. P.S., Hawthorn, I think the woman's point of view version is "1. Be a woman. 2. Leave the house." Unless you want to be picky, or something. --Falcotron 05:43, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Against. Turned off by the quote. Liked the pictures though. Needs work. FreeMorpheme 10:48, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
...yeah, the quote is a little sucky... anyone want it to stay very badly? Otherwise I'll delete it.--Gubby 18:13, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Weak for. Only because I think one more rewrite could take this into the stratosphere. But I liked it. Losing the quote would help.--Procopius 11:34, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Nomination and For -- An absolutely hilarious article, although it could use some minor tunings. A large portion of this is the work of DWIII and Procopius. --Hotadmin4u69[TALK] 02:51, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Francis Scott Key or Ralph Lauren would be hard work, but could be very funny; Willard Scott and Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame should be easy (but probably not that funny). --Falcotron 03:40, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Self vote for. This is why I love Uncyclopedia: My joke about the English Constitution would be met with blank stares anywhere else. :)--Procopius 01:27, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh come on; not even ED would give you blank stares. They'd just say, "Dude, that's like a long, boring-ass name, lulz" and edit it to "H.M.S. Fag." --Falcotron 01:34, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
For One of those few truly funny articles. --Iambusyeating 16:07, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Self Nom and For: At the moment the only letters I've got after my name are BA. Which stand for "bullshit artist". So I thought I'd give this ferret a run. Cheers -- Sir Armando PerentieKUNFP 12:37, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm . . . how should I vote? More than 60 per cent of Cambodia's sex tourists are creepy old British pop stars. Oh, right. For. Rock and Roll, hey.--Procopius 22:34, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Against. Sorry, but I didnt find it all that funny. It also kinda feels unfinished, ends too abruptly. -- Sir CHolla | CUN 22:43, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
For While by no means perfect it sure has come a long way from the first version that got VFD'd. "You poor bastard" joke is priceless. Lara Croft and better prices don't hurt either. --»His Majesty King George VI(the boxes) 02:20, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Why on earth wouldn't you vote for this? Support with every ounce of voting power I can muster. Wehpudicabok 00:38, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
For. I would rather feature VFH itself, but it was alredy voted down too many times. Once featured it'll be a great link for Featured Articles.---Asteroid B612 (aka Rataube) - Ñ 01:45, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Strong support --Sbluen 08:53, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Strong against. Most inside jokes are signified by their blatantly low quality, and this one is definitly no exception. I don't know how long I still have to put up with VFH articles that no one in the world understands (except a few people), but I think it's about time to put an end to this kind of nonsense. -- The Colonel(talk) 04:43, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Against. As per Col.Swordman, except the bit about nonsense. I like nonsense, just not on the mainpage. Modusoperandi 04:59, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Oppose. It's funny but I don't think it's good for the front page. Plus it's lacking in continuity: some nominations have scores, some have nomination reasons, some don't. There were also some other things. Oh yes, there were other things. La la la. I'm going to stop typing now.—Sir Mandaliet♠CUNPSVFHGN(talk) 06:39, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

STRONG NEG-A-TIVE. If the Block Log can't get featured, this doesn't stand a chance. Besides, the operative word in the compound term "Featured Article" is "article." --The King In Yellow (Talk to the Dalek.) 16:40, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
"Article"? Are you pushing for the to get featured again? --Falcotron 09:01, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
WTF? what kind of horseshit trash gets into VFH is beyond me. I mean come on people these are supposed to be featured, you know the best that uncyclopedia can spew out...not Grue-vomit. For. An aside: Gubby posted the same article on Uncyc, and I couldn't figure out if it was vanity or not until he posted the other one. My only concern is that this stuff will promote vanity on WP and here. But, to be honest, nobody cares since I can just ban them. ^_^ —Major Sir Hinoa(Plead)(KUN) 20:53, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Against: clever but too image-heavy. I don't think that would translate to the front page very well. Also, did you find your Rosa Blanco novel?—Sir Mandaliet♠CUNPSVFHGN(talk) 21:32, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Nomination. This needs work, but it's a freakin' awesome use of a running gag, with some great lines, so I'm nomming it. InfiniteMonkey 10:10, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
For. Ok. But you forgot to vote "for" it as well. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 10:25, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm nomming it in hopes of seeing it fixed up a bit: it starts out strong but really drags in the second half (most of which could be deleted to the benefit of the article) and could use some inspired pictures. If that happens, then I'll vote for it. InfiniteMonkey 07:03, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Yes yes yes. Dammit, Infinite Monkey, I was gonna nominate this. :)Procopius 11:45, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

For. Sir Cornbread: ED is a dump of old memes. We make up our own in-jokes. There's a huge difference. Crazyswordsman...With SAVINGS!!!! (T/C) 18:55, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
which is my thinking. Repeating other people's ideas is derivative; variations on your own jokes is called a running gag, like the coconuts in Monty Python, the endless plays on Alfred E. Neuman on the cover of Mad Magazine, or Homer Simpson's "D'oh!". Used creatively and in moderation, Kitten Huffing, Grues, and Oscar Wilde give Uncyclopedia a distinctive character.
For. While I don't have excessively strong feelings about this, I think that "memes" should have equal opportunities here (so long as they're funny and unpredictable). Y'know, if you call it a "running joke" it doesn't sound all that bad, huh?--Gubby 22:29, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Enthusiastically for. This reminded me of IFHTBT. - Nonymous 03:35, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

For -- The fact that you kept the joke running the entire article is commendable in and of itself, but the whole thing is extremely funny too.--Dark llama 18:06, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
For Holy Cow! What is it going to take for this thing to be featured? If this page can't be featured, there is no hope for pages created by a n00b like me.--WatchTVEatDonutDrinkBeer 20:08, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Comment [sniff][sniff] I smell a sock puppet. Maybe three. Maybe more. 128.2.247.60 12:55, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Against. Why all the hate on Van Buren? He was a totally average president.
N and F. Vote for this instead of the other one! --L 13:43, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
For it's worth it just for the Chris Walken pic. Plus I dig choosing sides when VFH has a voting war between a page, and itself. Freaky. Modusoperandi 14:48, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Strong for. Consistently funny from beginning to end. Just skim over it and you'll definitely miss something. --So So 05:22, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
AGAINST. 'cos too many for's against it already. frankly "episodes" has funnier pictures. the main article is too long and tooo american, soap/tv oriented -- it's almost an "in-joke" for the rest of humanity (well, the rest-of-humanity understands gi joe, george bush, paris hilton and thank-jew-very-much much better). -- mowgli 20:19, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
::hmm, leave me a msg in my talk page if you're missing "featuring" by a vote. that was never my intention and i can still change (edit!) my vote. -- mowgli 20:22, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

For man's first disobedience, and the fruit of that forbidden tree whose mortal taste brought death into the world, and all our woe, with the loss of Eden, till one greater man restore us, and regain the blissful seat, with earthly parody. --Sir Hardwick Fundlebuggy(Bleat) 17:05, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
For. We don't even have this in Oz yet. They'll probably put it on at 11.30pm Tuesdays in 2008, run a few episodes out of order, drop it while the Olympics are on and then forget to bring it back. -- Sir Armando PerentieKUNFP 00:30, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
For. Excellent article, especially the Stages of Development. -- Imrealized 18:27, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Self-nomination - Just for Déjà vu sake... plus it now has a Talk Page. -- Imrealized 18:45, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Comment - Though this is a tardy crediting it is worth noting that Some user contributed the true genius to the talk page (replacing all the dates with the proper Attic calendar dates and the superior second half). That may slip unnoticed if one were not to check the history, so I'm telling it here. -- Imrealized 20:08, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
I can't believe I'm doing this, but I'm a sucker for lampooned Greek drama, and this had me hyperventilating. Aristophanes pwns indeed! ("Lost his oilcan!") STRON-GEST AF-FIR-MA-TIVE!!! --The King In Yellow (Talk to the Dalek.) 18:50, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

For! Great parody. Weird, because I hated Euroipods.--Emmzee 01:17, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Featured I decided to put the Fisher Price text itself on the front page and link to the Retrospective. Seems to make the most sense for people who aren't already "in the know." —rc(t) 05:54, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Nomination And For Shizzle. Yes, I already know this has been "Quasi-featured", but this just might make me laugh more than any other article in the damned universe. PURE BRILLIANCE. --Sir Cornbread 04:37, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

For. Excellent tone, superb funny... deserves to have the quasi dropped.-- Imrealized 01:24, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
AF-FIR-MA-TIVE. I had to think about this one, as I was part of the VFD discussion on the actual Fisher Price "article," but I think Volte's superb literary babble deserves highlighting. If nothing else, let this be featured to show fuckwits what will happen to their crass one-liners. --The King In Yellow (Talk to the Dalek.) 16:50, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Against. Copyright issues. I don't think it's legal to post an entire book. But what the fuck do I know? --172.166.125.108 06:00, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Comment...Anyone have any idea what in the hell the guy above me is talking about?? He cant possibly think that this is a REAL BOOK, unless hes completely retarded. Also, his only contribution to the site was that vote...A little suspicious... Sir CHolla | CUN--06:43, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

Comment I don't think this should really be considered an in-joke. I mean, you can just look up Fisher Price, can't you? That's what I did. Wehpudicabok 04:52, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
*For. Definitely: it's the analysis that sells it.
Comment. Hey, why not front page "Fisher Price"? This article, though hilarious, is a lot funnier when you've read the original. And, on the original article, there's a little "see also" which leads you to the retrospective which no-one is going to miss.--Gubby 23:14, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
