Revision as of 23:49, October 11, 2008
Please head over to VFH and cast some votes for good articles. If VFH voting does not pick up by next Tuesday, Dr. Skullthumper will thump the skull of this puppy.
Do not put anything up for VFD that is not appropriate for VFD.
Abusers of the policy will be abused by the claw end of a hammer. You have been warned.
If you have an article that meets the criteria for VFD:
Check the revision history of the page. It may have been vandalised, or just badly edited over a long period of time. If so, find a better version and revert the article. It may not be suitable for deletion.
Add {{vfd}} to the article in question. Failure to do so will invalidate the vote.
Provide an initial vote (see below) and include a comment as to why you have placed the article on VFD.
If you are here to vote on the deletion/salvation of articles:
Thank you.
No really, thank you.
Edit the section for the article you are addressing.
Pick a space under the appropriate heading (Keep, Delete, Comment), add your sig/comment preceded with a #
# - Creates a numbered bullet for your entry and makes sure that things are formatted correctly (do not put a space before the #).
Comment - If you care to, leave a comment, even if it is as short as "The article is not at all funny". Votes without comments are less useful in analyzing the quality of an article.
--~~~~ - Sign and timestamp your vote. Unsigned votes will be removed without prejudice.
Allow at least 24 hours before closing a nomination or deleting an article.
Remember to delete any unused images from deleted articles and, if necessary, check what links to the article and remove any backlinks. Make sure to delete any broken redirects created as well.
To avoid confusion, try to remove closed nominations which cause the page to exceed to 20 articles.
If a nomination is kept, please add {{Oldvfd}} to the article's talk page.
To add an article, edit this section, and follow the directions in the comments.
Don't flood VFD full of articles, or at least leave a space between your nominations.
If you increase the number of articles on VFD to over 20, you will be blocked for 1 day, no exceptions. This means do not increase the number of active votes on VFD to over twenty.Inactive votes are shown with either a red link (where they have been deleted), or with the Closed nomination tag to indicate that the article has been kept. You have been warned.
Please remember to check an article's history, in case of recent or long term vandalism, before nominating an article. Also, check the article's talk page and 'What links here' for prior nominations. If the article has been nominated before there will be a link from a VFD archive page.
Keep. Purely because I link to it about a dozen times in my Andy Murray article. --15Mickey20(talk to Mickey) 22:26, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

Delete. - I tagged this with {{Stub}} a few days ago, after a second thought it seems pretty shoddy. I think that it might be an idea to start from scratch. — SirSycamore (talk) 12:51, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Delete. - It's too short, it's listy, as a matter of fact, without the long list, the article is only 2 paragraphs long, and they aren't funny paragraphs either. It mmore resemble a vandalized wikipedia article than a good, funny, uncyclopedia article. Again, listy, not funny, boring, needs deletion, stupid, not even random funny, delete, delete, delete. --Kowaru 06:32, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Delete. - It's too short, it's listy ( partially my fault), it's not really funny. The Necro joke gets too old too fast. Did I mention it's stubby. The picture of pantera when they were a glam metal band doesn't exactly help its case for being any good. IMMIDEATE HUFFING REQUIRED --Kowaru 04:03, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Ok ,the terrible state of this article is partially my fault ( I added part of that awful list at the end of the article, I have now seen the error in my ways however). Anyway, I don't think the article is really that great. It probably needs to be wiped clean and re-written. --Kowaru 04:05, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Kowaru, a reminder, your initial nom also counts as a "delete" vote. •••Necropaxx(T){~} 22:57, Oct 11
We should take the time to improve this quite simply, it's pretty, funny. It has a humor value to it, and it deserves a little more than just a sudden delete, I think it should get a 1 week warning, or, we could discuss what to do with it. I think a week notice is good enough, if it doesn't improve by then, fine, delete it. But it's just too funny to be deleted now ( sorry about not signing that * cracks egg on his face*). --Kowaru 03:17, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Keep Unlike a lot of what gets put up here and kept, this is actually currently funny and has an actual chance of being improved on. --MegaPleb•Dexter111344•Complain here 16:09, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Kowaru: You really should take the time to familiarize yourself with the deletion system around these parts. To begin with, we don't vote on what an article "could be," we vote on what an article is now. If you think it's a good idea, go ahead, copy it to your userspace, and work on it yourself. Otherwise, no one's going to do it. Also, we never give a week's notice for anything older than a week, because the original author isn't likely to be around. Even if they were, they would see the VFD template, which is more than enough of a warning; and if they want the article back all they have to do is contact an admin (nicely) and ask them (nicely) to restore it to their userspace so they can work on it. Lastly, sign your posts. –SirSkullthumper,MD(criticize•writings•formspring) 02:57 Oct 11, 2008
Delete. - Poor Spork by the looks of things, liitle progress, poor thoroughout and little progress made. — SirSycamore (talk) 21:04, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Delete. Agreed, saying Gook a thousand times isn't funny, it's not the 70s and we're not in Vietnam. --Kowaru 03:19, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
* I like how random it is It's kind of a big in joke about DJ/dance music culture, " A party exists" is a good line. I like it, one of the few uncyclopedia stubs that I laughed at. So, in short, it has humour value.--Kowaru 03:27, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

Delete. - Poor 2006 article, little progrees, random and unfunny. — SirSycamore (talk) 19:34, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Too many articles link to it to delete, it's funny, plenty of other article on *Uncyclopedia are undreadable. I suggest a merger of some sort..perhaps with the Motorhead or Heavy Metal Umlaut article. --Kowaru 01:06, 11 October 2008
Keep Probably worth keeping. MrNFork you! 01:31, Oct 11
I kinda liked it, for some odd reason. Also, Kowaru, there's no such thing as "too many articles link to it to delete". Just because an article is popular, doesn't necessarily mean it's not shitty. Crap articles = delete. Number of links doesn't matter. –SirSkullthumper,MD(criticize•writings•formspring) 01:36 Oct 11, 2008
Ok, I guess I had a bad reson, but stillEh, fair enough, I was just worried about red linking in a bunch of articles, anyway, I think that this artticle is atleast just good enough to be kept, if only the error with what I believe is an umlauted T could be corrected, the article would be vastly improved. --Kowaru 01:45, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

Delete. - Poor 2005 article, borderline unreadble, short with little progress. — SirSycamore (talk) 19:30, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
delete. stub, with jesus. i can't get to the other versions in the history, so i think deletion is the way to go. SirGerrycheeversGunTalk 18:06, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Delete. - Unfunny band article, little progress listy and rubbish throughout, probabaly better to start again from scratch. — SirSycamore (talk) 16:54, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Hang on! There are a number of things this could be about. The opéra maybe? Anyway, some more people need to look this over. Because we don't know what it's about is not always a reason to delete. MrNFork you! 01:20, Oct 11
Keep. It's not really a list, or listy, it's more like there are just several sections not seperated in the proper way. The spanish inquisition does make it funny. I got a good laugh or two. --Kowaru 03:51, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
